So anyone else out there following the postseason? BTW, this just in, thanks to the Rally Squirrel, Cardinals take a 2-1 series lead over the Brewers!!!!!smiling smiley
I'm getting way too excited here, I originally posted we took the lead over the Phillies. Only a week too late, LOL!

3rd pennant in 15 years for LaRussa and the Redbirds. I have to say, I didn't give them much of a chance in July, right after the Rasmus trade.

And where did they find the water from the fountain of youth for Carpenter?

LOL! Don't know where they found it, I just hope they keep it coming. And what about David Freese last night. Great to see a hometown boy get that MVP award.

Hard to believe they were 10 1/2 games out in mid-August. At that time one of the Brewers took to Twitter to say he hoped the Cardinals enjoyed watching them in the postseason. Famous last words!

Cardinal Nation never turns it's back on our boys of summer, but I don't know of anyone who thought we'd make it the postseason this year and beating a team with the best home record in their own stadium was certainly the icing on the cake. Needless to say, this town is afire and enjoying the hell out of our Red Octobersmiling smiley

I'm not a Cardinals fan, but having grown up somewhat near there, I will say that hands down, St. Louis is the best baseball town in the country.
