What are they calling your job title?
What's so creepy? People who hold high security clearances have to have their suitability reviewed periodically. Where I live many eieghbors have super clearances, so we are quite accustomed to having folks with gov't ID coming around to ask us if Neighbor A has suddenly started buying $100,000 cars or leaving cryptic notes under the door mat that are retrieved by stealthy foreigners in the dark of night.

I remember when we were investigated once like that when my sister in law upgraded her security clearance at the Pentagon.

That is the price of having a super high security clearance. It is a choice that the employee makes when they apply for such a clearance. Do you really want the folks who crack codes, run our underground agent networks and invent deadly stuff to not be cleared? BTW, it is not easy to qualify to do the fact-checking and federal penalities for unauthorized disclosure of the items learned are severe.

I looked at the full description on the site and it requires you to train for 8 weeks and three of those weeks is in Colorado at their headquarters. Maybe some can afford to shell out the bucks but not all of us can.
