It did and it didn't. It helped explain somethings from earlier movies, but in the process added some plot elements that made it impossible for the previous movies to exist.

Yes, I agree with you. This movie explain the previous movies but there are some scenes that doesn't connect to what was really happen to characters.. Like in the Paranormal 2, it said that Kathy and Hunter are already gone. But in Paranormal 1, Kathy was being killed by the police officer. What was really happen to them? But still I am a huge fan of this movie. And I am very excited to watch the coming Paranormal Activity 4.
My fiance LOVES these movies. I've seen all three because of him. I wouldn't have watched past the second one because the formula used in these movies drive me crazy. smiling smiley

Basically the audience waits in anticipation as nothing really happens until the end. I need my blood, gore, and ghosts early! I suppose I just don't appreciate the tactics used to create fear and anxiety in the trilogy. If there is a PA4, I'll just watch the last 15 minutes. I'm impatient, I'm a part of the microwave generation, and I need my action now! LOL!
