Thanks for the post, once I got into msing I've really been interested in these types of opportunities. I have am currently employed full time by a big international company and I really hate my job and I would ideally love to have the freedom to work at home full time but I just don't know how financially feasible it really is not to mention most of the places you work as an IC so you have to take care of all of the benefits yourself. Let me know if you have any success with any of these companies, I will be checking them out for sure.

I just looked at this stuff....I know someone who works for Alpine that is listed. He answers the phone for the bank that backs Lowe's credit cards.

This particular company (Alpine) has website issues almost daily and because your work is based on being able to access their servers and sites. When they are down, you are down. No biggie you would think, however...you are expected to sit there and wait for their stuff to come back up...no pay. Yes I said be on call and wait and you don't get paid for it. You signed in to work your scheduled hours, they have web issues and then they don't pay you for your time to sit there and anticipate when they are going to go live again. They will pay you, if you fight for it and can prove it was THEM and THEIR fault and not yours. From what my friend says...good luck with that.

Like many times said before, sometimes too good to be true. This isn't to say all of Alpine is bad. Probably not. Just issues. And this is not to say all work at home places are like that, probably not too. Just this particular branch is difficult.
