Spring forward

Just a friendly reminder to set those clocks ahead. Please ignore this if you are in Indiana or any other state that doesn't have daylight savings timesmiling smiley

Also it is a good idea to double check those receipts so you don't get caught unaware because of those businesses forgetting to change their clocks!

LOL. Thanks, Lisa! I made a mental note of it three times in the last few days, but managed to fail to remember when it counted! You just let me know that I didn't get as much sleep as I thought.
Good reminder on the receipts, Lisa! That was the source of my one and only challenged/unpaid shop.

I have to go back to work today at my regular FT job, but thankfully jet-lag was in my favor this time and I woke up 5 minutes before the alarm :^)
Yes, definitely a good reminder on the receipts, and probably worth posting in the shopping forum. I don't have any receipt oriented shops until the end of the week, but I'll be double-checking even then.
And a comment about changing the camera times on another thread reminded me: DVR time, camera time, car dashboard time, of course wrist watch (a real pain) plus all clocks in the house. At least the computer under Windows and the cell phone automatically change . . .

Indiana actually observes DST now. Rather than 70% of the state not observing daylight savings time, they split the state up into areas that are on Central time vs areas that are on Eastern time, but all areas now observe DST.

Having lived either on the IL/IN border or in the state of Indiana for a decent portion of my life, I have to say, I actually liked not observing DST. I didn't have to go through the whole rigmarole of resetting every clock I owned, and I really didn't notice a huge amount of difference in the day/night periods.

FYI, the only two states that don't observe DST are Arizona and Hawaii.
Actually DST saved my tail this evening. I had scheduled shops in the 4-7PM time slot and then all heck broke loose at my house. We have goats dropping kids and my significant other has a pinched nerve such that he can't currently deal with the critters. This meant I needed to be home before dark to deal with them. It was getting dark at 7 so I was a bit in a panic about how I would get everything done. Now the time change has dark at 8PM and I'm golden!

Hi everybody, what about a pen camera from the spy stores"Or what is a good
inexpensive camera to buy.

I am working for about 30-50 companies and now I need a camera!
Thanks!
happy shopping!
If you are doing an announced audit it doesn't matter. There the important thing is to have the ability to date/time stamp the photos. For covert pictures a lot of us are using our phones since the quality of the photos has really improved.

Thanks Lisa! sounds good.
Mata,
If you are planning on doing video shops, most pen cameras will NOT meet he client's quality standards.

Please let us know what you expect to use this camera to do, and we will be more helpful.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Good point. I assumed a camera for still photos and we all know one should never assumewinking smiley

thanks for this post. i changed all of my clocks okay last week, but i never changed my camera. i was going to take hundreds of camera shots today for some gas station shops, and all of the times would have been an hour off. i only noticed it but it didn't quite click, when i entered two reports with photos sunday evening for some bank shops after the conference. i was trying to figure out why the times seemed off, but it didn't quite click as to why at the time.

luckily, for the bank shops, they were photos of mailed materials which were taken at home, so it didn't matter if the times were off by one hour. however, the gas station shops which i have to do today will require correct times, because the photos are taken at the actual locations. thanks again. you just saved me a lot of trouble possibly having to redo 5 to 10 shops with reimbursements, lolol.
