I'm a big baby!

I went to the orthopedist this AM and he gave me a shot of cortisone in my shoulder. I looked at that needle and almost had a heart attack. I told him, I hope this shot doesn't make me say bad words. I had my eyes closed the whole time. I'm such a baby. I must say, the anticipation was way worse than the actual shot, but it did hurt for about 1 second. LOL

My significant other goes for his on Friday . . . into the hip. He is not thrilled by the prospect though he does look forward to hopefully getting rid of the pain that is requiring it.

Well, hopefully it'll go well. Tell him to close his eyes and NOT look at the needle. It was HUGE! The 'hurt from the sho' wasn't as bad as the needle size.

But those cortisone shots make the area feel SO MUCH BETTER!

*sigh*.. I could use a couple of shots in my shoulder right now! I'm missing some bone fragments from an accident in 95. When I was on therapy for it and had to get those shots - oy vey, they felt good!

Thankfully, the I didn't see the Doctor coming up behind me with the needle! LOL!

Between my eye problems and shots, we should have a sick and coping thread. I have found support knowing others have their own problems, and we're still msing and hold our heads high....yea for us!!! Always look the other way
when getting a shot, seeing the needle is a fainting experience.

I've had 2 cortisone shots in the shoulder and they have helped tremendously.
