New Internet service

I need a new internet service. Verizon is raising there prices. Any ideas?

They probably figured out that I am not calling anybody anymore long distance (from my landline) and I am spending way too much time on a computer.

I don't know how long I've got but if they locked me into the new price I might not be able to get out of it for 2 years. I only got the email yesterday so I know they are moving fast. This might be my last month at this price so I need to act fast, too.

We are on a bundle with CenturyLink that includes landline and internet that is extremely fast. Because of where we are for years we were not able to get Comcast or any other cable provider and were told that because the phone line was analog and of poor quality we couldn't get DSL. Thus we have been through various satellite and wireless providers over the years. CenturyLink turned the service on the line from analog to digital and has been able to provide us with really good, fast internet that doesn't go out when there are rain clouds or end because of construction between us and the transmitter.

The price is not cheap, but short of someone stealing the phone line for the copper (has actually happened once this year) the service is overall stable, fast and flawless.
I have AT&T DSL. Works great...cheap, cheap.

Remember...your internet can be smokin' fast when it hits your computer, but depending on what you have running on your computer determines how fast it will run for you.
I was forced into Dish Network where I currently like and am miserable with how slow it is. I have no other options, though.

I had Time-Waner before I loved that I could pay a little extra for the super-duper high speed. I'm now paying the same price for 1/10th of that speed :^(
Lordy - you definitely do NOT want what I've got! Wildblue Satellite. *Yucky, Yucky UGH*. (I'm being polite too!). Hate it, hate satellite. The only good thing I can say about it is our DISH will go out during monsoons before the Satellite does (amazing). Heck, I'm even in a "dead zone" for getting those nifty little 3G/4G WiFi thingies.

I called the company oh, back in October when the satellite from Canada got knocked out (really, the satellite in the sky when black). They told me, "Oh, we are going to switch your "Gateway" to Montana." So basically - if there's a snowstorm in Montana, then I lose my connection. My reply? I'm in freakin' ARIZONA with delicious clear blue skies - why am I being routed through Montana??

I cannot WAIT to get back to our Phoenix house and back with Cox Cable/Internet.

Good luck finding a company - too many too select from, never know who is better!
