Starting an advice free rant about anything list.

And here is the reason. I think it is a stress releasing way to get your stuff out to (relative) strangers. All I am suggesting is listen and empathize. Often, I find that when I rant, for instance, to my sister, she wants to tell me why this situation may have happened and how I can deal with it and why it is my fault. Not helpful.
My current rant is re my property manager. After trying to deal w/ a significant problem here, I said I will no longer be having a verbal conversation about this, but will be emailing. Ok that happened, but she can barely write a sentence and cannot use the shift key to even capitalize "I". But at least I will have all the responses if I need to go further with this as in the property owners, or housing court

This kind of stuff happens to me all the time.....here is my rant....


Boss: "I need you to do xxx right away",

Me: "Okay. Do you want me to call yyy, because they were waiting to hear from us?"

Boss: "No, I am going to stop by there tonight and talk to yyy"


Two days go by.....


Boss: "Why did you do xxx?" (seriously)


Me: "You told me to do it."

Boss: "Why would I tell you to do xxx? You must have misunderstood. Have you heard back from yyy yet?"



I am being completely serious....some days I think my head will explode!

My boss asks me utterly vague questions and expects me to be able to associate that with a random event sometime in the past month.

Say I work at an animal shelter. I get up to 15 calls per day asking about adopting an animal. The calls are everything from "I'm looking for a cat" to "I'm looking for a black doberman, crate trained, between three and five years old." I also see and socalize with several animals every day. So in the course of a week, I've probably talked about, met, or given information on 100+ animals.

My boss will ask me, "What about the brown mutt?" and get agitated when I can't recall what brown mutt, when, and what the original question was.

Gah.

Hearing you cake. I have had so many bosses that do not have the intellect or personality to be in their positions. Extremely frustrating.
