Federal, State and Local Government shops

I think you're getting the UPS and USPS shops confused, Billie. These are UPS.

Are you allowed to send by UPS without a return address label? I thought the MSP might need my address to confirm the arrival of your pkg at the other end. ??? And if I mention Ebay, I would certainly want a return address on the pkg.
Did you use your real address, Flash, when you did these?

We've wandered off the topic. If you were looking for MSing at a govt agency, Billie, and there's (always!!) a long list of phone numbers and voicemail options, how would you choose whom to speak to? Or did you find ads online?
Oh well yes you have to have a return address for UPS. The address I gave was not my home address but an address I have access to. I never sent my real home address on any package I sent via Ebay, unless I knew the buyer well.

My Ebay was always sent through USPS. On rare, and I mean rare occassions I would send by UPS. It would depend on large part the size of the package. And I would use the other address for UPS.

One set of these was sent to me by email. Some I looked up on line.

When I got the first email I did a search on line of Goverment agency mystery shopping. Then a search of State offices and on down the line.

I did NOT make any phone calls. You sure do not want to make calls to these government agencies about mystery shopping.
Goverment agency mystery shopping--I can't find a thing except articles that mention it. Have you actually found shops? I should think you would need some kind of security clearance to walk into any office.
Not with the USPS sneakers. They are independent just like the Veterans Affairs but they are under the Treasury Department. Anything they don't know where to stick it goes under Treasury. The FBI is Treasury.

Go to the Treasury web site and toggle around and you will see the Federal Agencies that fall under Treasury. Seems weird to me but it's all there.

Yes my complaint did some good. I was called to the main branch for an interview and the postmaster showed me her MEMO!!
There is a REST of the STORY to this entire situation I encountered that day.

Now UPS is totally independent of the Goverment but has to follow goverment regulations.
so we get mystery phone calls in the bulk mail dept of post office........who does those?? anyone know? I know who does the window retail post office mystery shops (in person) but these are to our mailing requirements and mailpiece design departments. They ask a question like "Can I mail a pigeon?" or "How to I sort automated first class flats?" Always wondered what they pay those shoppers for the phone calls?? a HINT is adequate.........don't name the ms company if you know it......heck, don't even know if they are done through independent ms company.

Yes..........but you have to send them Express........and in an approved container.
I used to get them all the time.......also, we have to verify w/airport a flight so we can get them there in 24 hours. All kinds of critters are mailed.....bees, crickets, lizards, day old baby chicks. No warmblooded animals, though. I guess the above mentioned can go 24 hours w/out food or water and that is why they are mailable.

Beanies are valuable again?? Last I sold went for "peanuts" so I quit selling them and still have a bag full. Course that's been over 3 years ago. Maybe I need to look into the price again. Beanies are easy and cheap to ship.

Sneakers the USPS is a government entity. And every government entity falls under some major department of the Government. Like the FBI is Treasury. The VA is under Health, Education and Welfare.

I didn't waste my time. I was called to see the Postmaster and was shown the Memo he had received. So the situation was Cured. :-)
Yes, I have bought chicks, geese and ducklings by mail. During the first 36-48 hours post hatching they neither eat nor drink. That is the time in which they get shipped and they have always arrived in excellent condition, ready for water and a few hours later their first feed.

Mine is a somewhat rural post office and often there are small rectangular screen wire boxes with wood top and bottom and an interior wood support that are shipments of a queen bee and a smallish group of workers to start her hive.

My pet store is near the post office and he occasionally gets in bags of exotic fish. There is a drug they put in the water that slows their metabolism to approximately comatose and then there is oxygen put into the bag under pressure to force it to dissolve in the water. The fish are good like this for a week to 10 days. On arrival the bag is floated in their new aquarium for a half hour and then the bag is opened and over the next hour or two water from the new aquarium is added to the bag for the fish to adjust. As the meds are diluted out the fish "wake up" and after about 2-3 hours they are back to normal.
I must have gone to sleep reading these posts..:-) I'm still recovering from our weekend. :-)

Yes you can ship most any animal. No large animals but the small chicks and fish. We can order fish to stock our pond from the Co-Op and they are shipped. They come to us bagged and we just add them to the pond.

Seems to me there are some folks on Ebay who sell and ship small exotic fish. I haven't checked birds and other small animals.
One of my neighbors has a daughter who put herself through law school selling tropical fish through eBay. She specialized in species, and spent her Saturdays building shipping packages. As busy as law students are, I can't see giving up every Saturday.
Hey is it possible to give a hint or initials of the company for the post thing? I came across one the other day but blew it off as spam. Now I can't locate the email or address?

Shop til I drop
The companies could be different for different states for the USPS. And I suspect they are, search "USPS mystery shopping" for your state.

Sandra Sue, she worked her way through Law School selling on Ebay. Much better than working at Micky D's trying to work your way through school. :-)

GB does UPS in my area. So far I've not had to ship anything from UPS only have copies made.
