Great Grocery Deals This Week

I got my grocery ads that start tomorrow. There are some really great deals:

16 oz. whole grain Barilla pasta 88 cents
Progresso soups 88 cents
Hamburger buns, buy 1 get 2 free!
Fresh Salmon $4.99/lb.
Tilapia Fillets $2.99/lb.
Cabbage 33 cents/lb. at one store and 99 cents a head at another
16 oz. Birds Eye frozen veggies 88 cents
Boneless skinless chicken breast $1.33/lb.

There are a lot more. The ones listed above are from four stores in my area. I was just wondering if anyone else is seeing deals like this? I thought the food prices were going up, not down?

I plan to stock up!

Actually one of my local grocers had package meat on sale for $5 a pop as long as you buy three or more. They did the same thing about 5 weeks ago. So far I got a large package of chicken thighs originally priced at $11.96 and legs originally at $10. Five packages at $25 resulted in $20 in savings. These are not items bordering on the sell by date either. The dates were at least a week out and the meat and poultry was nice looking. I'm going back tomorrow to pick up more ground round and pork tenderloinsmiling smiley

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time and it really annoys the pig.
Prices low at Sprouts (Farmers Market), alvacodo's 2/1.00, Ralphs beef roast 50% off, (not expired, just a special), grapes .99pd, frozen veggies .99, always lower prices here Thurs/Sunday. No sign of prices going up yet. I go to three different stores for various savings. Got a great loaf of Wholesome 9 grain bread for 1.99, delicious, regular 5.99.
Banana's seem to have gone up....not a biggie.

Chicken broth is coming down to half price. Usually stays like that until Thanksgiving or after. I stock up for the whole year, since it is dated about 2 years in advance.
