Actually one of my local grocers had package meat on sale for $5 a pop as long as you buy three or more. They did the same thing about 5 weeks ago. So far I got a large package of chicken thighs originally priced at $11.96 and legs originally at $10. Five packages at $25 resulted in $20 in savings. These are not items bordering on the sell by date either. The dates were at least a week out and the meat and poultry was nice looking. I'm going back tomorrow to pick up more ground round and pork tenderloin
