new plan coming from at&t

At&t is launching what is by far the best overall value for a
no contract plan on June 21st. You can bring any smartphone
you already have or pay full retail for one. It will include
unlimited talk, unlimited text and 2GB of data for 60 a month.
What makes this a great deal is the data includes 4G LTE. Only
one to include it off contract and with the wide coverage area
that they have...

If you have an iphone or android phone with at&t and are near
the end of your contract term or out of contract this will be a good
deal for many.

If you dont have a smartphone and want the deal, at&t will be selling
a midrange samsung phone 249. Deal goes live June 21st.

That is interesting. Sounds like they are following T-Mobile's footsteps. Competition is good for consumers. I have been an AT&T contract customer for some years, switched to T-Mobile last year, and have enjoyed the freedom of not having contract since.
Now if only Verizon would see the light . . ..
I wish I could figure out which direction to go!

My contract with Verizon is up. Best Buy will take my Iphone 4s and give me $149.99 credit towards an Iphone 5, but then I have to contract up for 2 years with a provider.

I'm leaning towards no contract, and thinking maybe I'll keep my phone. I just don't know!

you could sell your iphone 4s on ebay for alot more
then 149. Depending on carrier/version should sell
for around or just over 300

No contract is the only way to go. Dumped ATT after ... geez 25 years !! So glad I did.

We were paying $100 a month for 2 phones and NO DATA . What were we thinking.

I now have a Smart phone ($82 Android - plenty good enough for what I do)
with Virgin Mobil with unlimited Talk / Text / Data for 45.00

Hubby has a discount plan of 400 min for 20 bucks. Granted - now that Virgin M is on the Sprint network it has been
a huge pain (their upgrade is the pits - service up and down) but despite that I actually have service in areas
I didn't think would be covered - and data too so not suffering too much.
I am keeping fingers crossed that it improves soon and I will have no complaints. It is only 3G but that isn't
all bad.
Ugh. Good luck. I switched from Virgin Mobile due to their terrible customer service and frequent issues. I was with them for more than two years and finally had enough.

I'm with Republic Wireless now. $19/month. No contract. Unlimited data/text/talk. If you are somewhere with wi-fi access, the service uses the wi-fi. If not, it uses Sprint (same as Virgin Mobile) but also has free roaming partners (mostly Verizon Wireless). I am very happy.
