HELP!!!

My computer took a "dump," and after getting it back from the shop, I cannot log on to my "favorites" list. If I get an email with my state listed and try going from there, I get a blank page with "done" at the bottom. My address book is also missing. I was able to recover my pictures, but can't figure out how to get into my sites for work. I have even tried going the "http" route in yahoo. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Debi

Glad this got moved over here since we cannot reply to anything that gets posted on the job board.

Depending on what the shop needed to do, they may have needed to reinstall your browsers. I suspect that they have cleared out all of your 'cookies' and very likely they have lost a fair amount of material in reinstalling.

Let me suggest that you take a few hours and reestablish your 'favorites' and the 'cookies' you need to go directly from email links to the jobs. If you have saved your old signup emails it is pretty quick to have them open in one window while you are going to the log in pages in another window to sign in and have the site remember your login and password and tag the page as a favorite.

Debi, you simply need to get a MAC if you are going to be using your computer for anything other than playtime.
Never crashes, never infected, always available, like turning on a light switch..do you ever think twice that it will work? no, same with the MAC far better than pc..different league. pc is amateur hour.

Thanks
Barry
Gotta love the folks who think Linux or Mac are the answer to all computer problems. It is not helpful when someone is asking for help with an existing issue. We are glad that you are happy with your overpriced computer Barry. Most of us find that PCs provide good service for the functions we need to perform.
