I have never worked for them because they have no clients in my area. I had marked them on my list as 'possibly defunct' because of successive unsuccessful attempts to open their website. I did note last evening that they are still alive and did have current jobs in other parts of the country.
Clear Evaluations has one electronics chain they shop here in South Texas. I did one shop at $10 with a $5 purchase reimbursed back in January. I don't care for the store, never shop there, and decided not to do any more of the shops. They have since stopped the reimbursement and the shops are $10 with no purchase. The shops seem to be lingering for some time before being assigned. I recently got an e-mail on one bonused to $20 and it was close to a dining shop I was doing so I accepted it. This is the only time I have seem them bonus the shops.
I have never heard of them before this. Therefore the ??? above.

And although they use Sassie to sign up and may use it for reporting, they do not use the job board. You have to find their shops through schedulers.
BOY OH BOY!! Becoming a new mystery shopper is extremely confusing. I thought I was confused about the difference between MFI and CFA, but I signed up with Sassie after seeing a shop listed at MSAP, then tried to get that shop, but got an email back that I wasn't signed up with them, but Sassie was only the site that many companies use... but for what I don't understand. I have absolutely no idea what they mean. Can anybody please explain to me how this works and/or give me a site where I can read about how these companies are related and why I signed up with Sassie, but it is not a site where you can get a job without going directly to the specific company?
Go to the "New Mystery Shopper" section of the forum and start off with the "Nuts and Bolts" thread. I suspect a lot of your questions can be clarified there. This is a confusing business but not complicated. But quickly, SASSIE is just a company that provides the software for companies to post jobs and take reports over the web. Prophet and ShopMetrics and others do the same thing. You do need to be signed up with the companies themselves and use whatever software version they are contracted with to do your reports and request jobs.
Thanks a lot for your help. I will read that thread you suggested, and I appreciate you clarifying some of the aspects for me. I am exhausted from filling out all the applications and considering jobs, and worrying that I might have signed up for jobs that I don't want to do, when I was just trying to read about them. I had gotten emails back from the company which appeared to me as if I was being considered. One job was at least 150 miles from here. I freaked out. I think I'm going to take a few days off before I hit it again. Thanks again!
I do video shops for Clear Evaluations and have met most of the staff and officers of the company at professional meetings. They are a delight to work with. I know nothing about their non-video business, but I will walk an extra mile to do their video assignments! Everyone on their team is a highly experienced shopper, so you are dealing with folks who will empathize with you on those days when everything goes wrong! (And, if you video shop, there will be days when the video gods kick you in the teeth.)

Based in MD, near DC

Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
I think i know you from another forum.
