Have you ever heard of/made peanut butter blossoms?
Everyone here loves them when I make them (which I am doing right now).
Moose Poop Cookies

Ingredients:
2 sticks of butter (1 cup)
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
3 cups oatmeal
1 cup chopped walnuts
2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions:
Mix all together, drop by 1/4 cup portions on a
greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 20
minutes.
(Can be made smaller if you wish)
Oreo Truffles

8 oz. package cream cheese, softened

4 cups crushed Oreos (16-oz. package)

2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

1 TBSP vegetable shortening (like Crisco)

On the high speed of a mixed, beat the cream cheese in a bowl until light and fluffy. Add the crushed cookies and beat until well combined. Refrigerate the mixture for 2 hours, until chilled enough to roll. Roll into 1-inch balls.

In the top of a double boiler over hot water, melt the baking chips and shortening until smooth. Dip the balls into the warm mixture and thoroughly coat. Place on waxed paper to cool and harden. Store in the refrigerator.

Makes 2-½ dozen.

You can use the off name brand cookies for this....taste just as good....Also you can use different flavored cookies..Like the vanillia ones with dark chocolate chips...Peanut butter flavor with the peanut butter flavor chips...Here we can get an orange/pineapple flavored cookie they would be good with the white chocolate chips...If you like add some peppermint flavoring to the dipping chocolate...or melt a few white chips and add some food color and drizzle over the cooled to add a bit more holiday flare....Have fun with this...
Thanks everyone!!!! :-)

Why are they called moose poop, btw. It reminds me of those cat poop cookies you serve in something made to look like a litter box with litter... :-)

Dee, sorry I'm late, but made great brownies for the holidays (my waist will agree).

I box Betty Crocker chocolate cake mix...follow directions on box, and add
walnuts, marshmellows, chopped almonds and cranberries......so good, can't go wrong. I then freeze them (easier to cut), and take out 15 minutes before eating.

Live consciously....
Irene, I am sure they were delicious. I would like to try that with homemade though, as I dislike the chemical taste in boxed mixes.

Make your basic coookie dough with flour, cocoa, egg, sugar, baking soda, salt, Canola oil, ad rest of ingredients above.

Live consciously....
Thanks Irene. I am not lacking in the basic brownie recipe. Got plenty. But your combo of add-ins sounds interesting.
