Today was not my day

Today I left the house in sleet that turned to rain. I have 12 gas shop to do before Sunday and it is supposed to rain until then. I got a extention on them because some sleet and snow is also expected . Drove several miles did one shop , got my camera to try a gas shop and no life in the batteries. Brought new batteries , still no life. Camera has bit the dust.

On the way to the second shop a car stopped in front of me and I didn't stop until her car stopped mine. I put on my brakes and must slid on the wet pavement. I did all this with cops behind me. I hit a big SUV and she has no damage and I lost a head light. Two tickets because I was following too close and could not find the insurance papers. I found them after I got home.

OH WELL just another day in my shopping life.

Just had to sound off. Thanks for listening.

Yuck, Deech. I'm glad you were uninjured, though a pair of tickets is a PITA.

My camera sometimes takes a powder. I find that removing the batteries for at least an hour or so and then putting in fresh ones will revive it. (And I finally broke down and put a + and - on the case to make sure I got the accursed batteries in the correct direction because my camera is not appropriately marked.)

So tomorrow is another day and I hope it will be just a whole lot better for you.
Deech, it can't really be much worse than this tomorrow. What an awful day. Feel better. Get some rest, too. Go fight the insurance ticket. :-)

Thanks guys, I am still looking for the insurance it is somewhere in the car. I found seven years worth of insurance in the car pocket after I got home. Between the rain and the cops beind me when I did it. I was goofy. My brother took it easier than I did. THis is my first wreak. Today is rain and tomorrown is sun.

I will take your idea Flash and try it before I go get a new camera. I am going back to that town tomorrow but NOT anywhere close to THAT intersection.

Thanks
Thank you Flash. I got the camera in the hotel and warmed it up and took the batters out. After a couple of hours it still did not work until the desk gave me some batteries that had never been in a cold car. Now it works just fine. Thank you again.
Excellent! I generally use rechargeable batteries and I find that after a while they no longer charge fully enough to really operate the camera, so they get relegated to other purposes, such as the wireless mouse. I usually carry spare non-rechargeable batteries in my purse. Since my purse goes with me and I don't like cold, they never have an opportunity to get very cold or overheated smiling smiley
TGIF Deech. Glad the only injury was to your headlight.

You going to watch the Super Bowl or the commercials? I've bet a burger, a steak and a margarita on the Saints!
The age of the car and the damage to the hood above the headlight totaled the car I found out this afternoon. SO an not sure if I will fix the light assembly and drive it a bit more 240,115 miles or just let it go.

I will go with your bet on the Saints!
