I can't pass this one MSC's test.

I have listened to the training tape for a gas station shop and then I took the test. It's four sections. Well, I did not pass the test. That is unusual for me. So I listened to the four sections again. Took the test again. Failed. I go through the four training sections AGAIN. This time I take notes as if I'm in a college lecture. Plus, now I already know the questions. I'm thinking I can't miss.

Well, the long and short of it is I basically know the training tape verbatim. I could recite it, if necessary. smiling smiley And I STILL can't pass that test.

Has anyone else experienced this type of frustration? And if you did, how did you overcome it?

I recently had this same experience. Took it, failed it over and over. I emailed the scheduler who said "All your answers for the test are correct. If you have tried over and over to pass the test you will have to delete the cookies because the system is reading only the incorrect answers if you have switched the answers around."

I don't know if this will solve your problem, but it did the trick for me.

Simple: put together a list of your answers 1. A, 2. A, 3. C etc. and contact the 'help desk' or 'contact us' asking, "Which one(s) did I get wrong?" They get back to you pretty promptly, usually with their own list: 1. B, 2. A, 3. A etc. Plug in their answers and get on with your life smiling smiley

I have experienced this as well, There is usually one trick question that is probably making you fail. The deleating of cookies is always a good idea.

I doubt deleting cookies will help you pass a test...:p

The solution for this one is simple. Flash gave you the correct answer. I have run into several of these tests that the author never bothered to check the answers for accuracy. Simply call the Scheduler or get on their chat line and explain your problem. Most schedulers will assist in "pushing" you through the test...smiling smiley

MrC, as Flash said, I sent my answers to the scheduler who advised they all were correct but still showed as a fail - hence the advice to delete cookies. Going through that process, re-entering the answers and re-submitting worked.

The cookies thing does work in the case that they are preventing the system from crediting the new answers.

Thank you for your suggestions. I received an email from the scheduler today asking which test it was. I responded and told him. Hopefully we'll discuss it tomorrow. I appreciate the input from you all.

Yep, sure did several tests for CRI. For the lighting sign, for the gas station and for two retail stores. It's frustrating and also wastes your time applying for the shop with them and moving on to apply for other companies shops. Not to mention these shops are not enough pay to fool with.

I did follow your advice and sent an email to the company. They helped me through it.

Like you said, now I'll have my tests done when I feel I am ready to do their jobs.

I just hate failing tests.

My goodness, are you some kind of perfectionist? :^) Yes, I hate failing them too and really get mad when failing them is because some programmer goofed the answer sequence. I have learned that if I don't pass it the second try the problem is probably not mine so contact the company. With one company I have to laugh because you yell and they just pass you rather than responding. Oh well.

lol Yes, I am somewhat of a perfectionist. It irks me to have something "outstanding" like a test I didn't conquer!! OMG!! That almost sounds psychotic. lol

Anyway, all worked out. It was interesting. I was asked the answers I gave. I sent the answers. Then I was told it was, say, No. 11 that was incorrect. SO I go and readjust and choose the other two answers. I fail again TWICE.

I'm ready to say, "Okay. I'm done. I don't need this 'expletive'" So I figure I would send an email saying, "I did it again twice. Same results. Go find some Einstein to pass your test."

Well, I held back. I didn't say all I wanted to say. Then I get an email back apologizing because they told me that it wasn't No. 11 that was incorrect but No. 12. lol

Well, the saving grace there was at least I knew I wasn't a nimwit, but.....I just thought it was interesting. lol

Anyway, I appreciate you all telling me how to move through this hurdle.

Aaaargh! Telling you the wrong answer is wrong is just SO WRONG!! But I'm sure they feel like the nitwit now, so no harm done smiling smiley

How nice, LovetoMysteryShop, that the MSP fessed up before you crawled down their backs! Crazy, isn't it? If I don't get 100%, my day is ruined.

One test I couldn't pass after two attempts, I emailed the scheduler, which to me is like crying uncle. She sent back answers, identical to mine. "What"? I asked. She apologized, and corrected herself, then offered me first dibs on next month's shopssmiling smiley

But I didn't get an offer for first dibs on next month's shops. sad smiley Maybe it's still early.

You are so right. I was just thinking that. i don't let this crap get that deep. i have other things to focus on and be concerned about. Relax with the shopping, it works out better you. I'm a natural, I love doing it, and when I don't want to I won't and i don't.

I still can't pass the SQM levels......stopped trying. I just took the new BJ's Brewery for the pickup service, and it took me 2 tries, they let you go back till you pass.

Watch the client names, Irene. I am assuming the client you named is one of that company's and there is another post today that also mentions an ICCDS client I believe.

There was a shop I wanted to do (because I was interested in the information I was to get) and I read through a long guidelines (about 20 pages) and then I took the test.
You must pass it with 100% to be eligible to do the shop. Okay. I missed one of a lot of questions about the shop. The one I missed was what form the report is to be sent (PDF, fax, mail, etc.) I missed that.
So, a high dollar shop that I was interested in doing goes bye bye. I get two more tries at it (fair enough) but when I went back in, all my original answers were gone, so I would have to go through the whole thing again (it was long) and rethink all the answers (they weren't trivial). I looked at it, said "Nuts" and close the window.
Just too much work to do even more work.
