My boyfriend's parents have a small vineyard on their property and a wine cellar and they make their own wine every year. It's really good (I guess... I'm not much of a wine connoisseur. It always tastes pretty good and it's never killed me, so there's that). They have a whole operation, with barrels and their own bottle labels that they have made up, and a ph tester, and all the stuff. They buy grapes from a nearby vineyard in napa when their grapes don't come out (a late frost, bugs or birds get them, etc.).
I always thought it was the kind of thing you had to devote hours a day to, so I'm glad to hear that @DavePi's project went well. And I totally vote for "DavePi's Breakfast Wine" as the name.
