So the pay is nill,so's the job.Do all apts.one can.Be good to your schedulers, they are human to.
Offer this, shop's are and can be alot of fun..plus you get paid!!
The list of companies is in the first post of the sticky at the top of the Mystery Shopping Company Discussion section. So click on the title of the thread, not the most recent post or you will have to go back many pages.
Can't this list be updated or put in the 2010 post? 4 years is a long time ago and like someone said many, many pages back. I understand there is a lot of information there but who wants to read 4 years of posts? Plus it has only been edited once,

Between 2006 and 2010, there is 15+ pages,it should be broken down. Does this board has a moderator?

Many shoppers and MSC have come and gone., the experts on the board will still be the experts. and the newbies will learn from them. I am still learning. To read 4 years of post on one subject if it has been said in various other topics in different ways. Some things needs repeating. If it was said in 2006 then say it again in 2010. It shouldn't matter who said it
This isn't meant to sound snippy, but that list is posted on here as sort of a favor to us. When I found this forum, I just searched through the list and if some companies were gone, I just went to the next site.

I don't think it is the mods job to regularly update the list for our convenience.
Perhaps sojo is raising her hand to do the updating...after all, it's her gripe.

It is my gripe. but the replies of 2006 have had 4 years to do better. Edited the list to reflect 2010 and put he post of 2006 to archives. Most forums try to stay current even in their post replies.

If Joe Blow says his conpany is a deal breaker in 2006, then unless that company has died or improve in 2010, I shouldn't have to read about it.

All I am saying is archives the replies that are more than 18 months old and update the list of companies as a favor to us.
Again, I think you should raise your hand to Jacob and say you will volunteer to do it.

Then just don't read the list. Google the companies yourself and see how much longer it takes you to compile a list than having to read the older comments here.
Or perhaps pay your $ and use Shadow Shopper. This forum is owned and operated by a guy who has other things to do with his time and is not operating this to make big bucks. You will note that active participants on this forum are also here on a purely volunteer basis to be helpful where they can and enjoy each others' company. Some several shoppers have contributed lists in various threads over the years, but since I don't know the source of them, they may include some spoofs, dead companies or similar stuff. They are generally copied off some other site, so unless the contributor dutifully checked each and every link, there is no guarantee of their safety or currency. Creating and vetting a list of companies is indeed not a task to be undertaken lightly or quickly. I did one a few years back and it took several weeks of my life because it means researching whether companies that are not coming up from known links are dead, their servers down, they have moved their site, etc. It means diligently checking to see what other companies out there folks are working with. I just spent about 10 minutes attempting to find any reference anywhere to a company mentioned in the New Mystery Shopper section and found only references to such a website back in 2004 that the webssite no longer exists, yet a shopper indicates they did jobs for the company in May 2010.

As for old commentary, the pop-to-the-top characteristics of this forum (except for sticky threads) has your current information at your fingertips. Other forums have needed to delete old threads due to space limitations and the historic loss has been a painfully less useful forum.

There's a limit to favors. If the forum moderator was charging us for the information and convenience he provides us, and this was profitable for him, he would probably spend time updating frequently. As it is, he provides this medium for us to communicate and use pretty much as we please. Any of us is free to post a new list or update the old one if we choose. Because it would be a pretty time-consuming, unpaid job, most of us choose not to do that. I communicate in the forum, but as far as compiling a list, I prefer to get paid for my work. It doesn't particularly bother me that it is outdated. Maybe someone who is bothered by it being outdated will volunteer their unpaid time to post a new list or update the old one.
If any of you are getting an unusually high number of emails similar to mine, practically every other one is a mystery pizza shop. Have it delivered anywhere. Even the nearest curb or bus stop will do. Photograph it vertically, diagonally, backwards, forwards, all piled up, and standing on it's head. Photo shoot it until it is dead cold and has been mangled by your hands, (clean, we hope) then have your reward and eat it!

Just the word "pizza" is beginning to make my stomach queasy. And I guarantee you, there is no money to be made doing this. A little more fat on your body, but no money. Some of the companies are beginning to add a token dollar or two for your work and the report. It seems it is getting harder to find shoppers who want to do the free pizza shop.

Then... "Aha!" On TV last night I saw a commercial from a well-know pizza chain. Guess what they are up to? A contest! Everyone who has a pizza delivered is encouraged to send in a photo of this exquisite creation, and someone is going to win a prize for the best shot. I missed hearing what the prize is. Probably pizza for life.

Uhhh, excuse me, but I must run quickly before I up-chuck all over my keyboard.
Sneaky. Do you suppose Domino's is attempting to do what PJ's is doing sans MSP fees and shop reimbursements?
Hi Mert, thanks for the link! The prize is you "might" get your pizza used in a national ad. Imagine, your pizza! You've already eaten it of course. But now it is preserved in living color for all to see and you can brag to your friends that it was yours!

You have to give these folks some credit; it is a clever way for corporate management to get proof of what their stores are dishing out, for free. They could at least give away one stinking free pizza...cheapskates.
As someone who works in the arts, IMO they are just trying to cash in on viral media trends and tech-savvy kids to get free work and free photos. Yet, if one is an aspiring food stylist/photographer, which is an actual career, it could pay off in the same way reality shows and viral videos pay off. The chances are slim, but if you are the winner, the stakes are high.

Free work and free photos, I agree. Can anyone count as high as the number of pizzas PJ's has reimbursed, for how many years? What do you suppose those cost?
less than they have paid us.
