Who needs a vacation?

I started this year off right. I received a free cruise for 5 days and two nights three days in a 3 star hotel within the US. I received two vacation packages just for referring friends and family. If your interested email me at versatility500@yahoo.com. I had so much fun in Atlantic City. They have really improved out there. Now I can get back to mystery shopping. Sometimes we all need to pamper ourselves why not do it on the expense of someone else if they are paying!!!!

I want a vacation far away. Who wants to take care of my 5 month old puppy.....
I shop and shop till I am ready to drop, and start once again till I am ready to pop. I will die shopping before I will stop.
It so depends on the definition of vacation. I figure 2 hrs in the hammock with a huge iced tea and a good book is a really nice vacation. While I have been on Bimini and in Cancun and a number of other places within the past 12 months, they were work, not vacation. My last leisure trip was in 2004 to Alaska--seems so loooong ago.
My "vacation" entails cleaning the carpet and doing a big marketing. I consider any day without a report due a vacation. Although, I did wake up in the middle of the night wondering if my report had a 12 or 24 hr. reporting time. Thing is, I didn't do any shops yesterday.

Hi Neke75,

Sent you an email since March and never receive any response. May be I am being to innocent!
ME! I need a vacation. Love the post, by Flash, icetea and a hammock. Last time I laid in a hammock was as a child. My ideal vacation is a motel type place with a balcony patio with a peaceful view, and a good book to just sit and vegetate. AM coffee, pm wine and cheese. My husband is the antsy one. Can't sit still. Gotta get in the car and drive somewhere.. Go eat in a restaurant, window shop til I'm struck numb with fatique. Haven't had a vacation in YEARS.We were spending many times going to visit Mother in law in nursing home in a lakeside community. Only vacation part was having coffee in early morning at the motel boat dock, and visiting little shops on the long drive home through Napa wine country. So see here it is 11:30 pm, chatting on the computer, not getting proper sleep, and certainly not making any money. You are interesting people though. Fun to read your posts. Good night.

My hubby wanted to go fishing, so we stocked the motorhome with the groceries, got the dog, my computer and we came to Oceanside, California for a short vacation. The weather is nice, sunny and clear. Right now he is fishing, and I am here reporting the shops that I did last night, three Drive-Thru shops, very easy and good pay, I took several jobs in this city, all from the same company. So far so good, he is happy, I am busy. Retirement is good.
After I worked 16 hours at day (for too many years), now I can said : "This is a good life...."

We just got back from Texas for a few days on business. Had a great time!!
My dream vacation is to go across county by Amtrax. Amtrax has been sold to another railroad company so soon as they are up and running we are setting our sights on the Cross Country tour.

Couple years ago we did the 5 day Mississippi Cruise on the old Memphis Bell paddle wheel and it was great!!

I have no desire to leave the country there is so much to see here and on land. :0
billie, you are rigth, this is a wonderful country and there is so much to see and enjoy, I live for 34 years in here and I never regret for a minute when we took the plain and put our feets on the land of our dreams.

I hear ya Isabel!!

I've been to Canada and to Mexico but never out of country for long and never on a cruise. (except the Mississippi cruise) I like to be able to see the land and the things around as we are traveling. I haven't flown in years and have no plans to fly anywhere.

What we have here in the states is enough to keep me happy and content. I just want to see a lot more!!! Go where I have never been before...Beam me up Scotty!!! LOL!!!
