What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

We have plenty of deer around here, I live across from a metro park. I rarely see possums in NE Ohio, we get more groundhogs.

I added one huge bonus I mean shop on the fly on the way to merchandising job and personal playing.

The ratio of play:work changed slightly.

It is time to play again because a certain restaurant is calling my name. Gotta go.

Dang, Shop-et-al. Restaurants rarely call my name, though in my younger years certain bars did.
I just made a twist on roasted garlic aioli--I was making some delicious BALTO sandwiches with crisp bacon (I know, nitrates and preservatives after this was just discussed), avocado, fresh romaine lettuce from my MIL's garden, and red onion on toasted ciabatta rolls and didn't have any slicing tomatoes. All I had was some grape tomatoes--so I threw them into the food processor with the garlic aioli mixture. It came out soooo gooood! It's probably been done before but it sent my mind into thoughts of roasted red pepper and roasted garlic aioli and grilled vegetable sandwiches...oh the possibilities!

If I rearrange all the letters of that acronym it could be BLOAT, LOL. But we only ate one sandwich each so I think we'll be okay.
I make a roasted tomato aioli all the time. It is a recipe from Bobby Flay to use for a Spanish themed brunch with potatoes. I use it on everything.

Today Hubby and I did a bike ride organized by a local trails club. There were four route options. We did the 22-miler. I storm came through the area last night, and the trails were littered with tree debris and a couple of big limbs, which made riding interesting.

Running out this morning to do a couple of easy shops and then back home for the afternoon to babysit the invalid pooch while my spouse goes to get her car serviced. I'm finding it somewhat frustrating, it's the end of the month and I want to be working but I have to spend a LOT of time at home. Tomorrow she has a dr's appt so that's out. I just see money everywhere that I can't get LOL.
Getting some groceries, nope not on shop smiling smiley

A trip to the library to return books and get new ones.
I am sitting in my pajamas doing some online banking and drinking coffee, not working until noon.

One of my banks finally corrected an error I alerted them about this past Thursday; the teller accidentally deposited the check of a customer who came into the branch right after I did into MY account and I had $3900 that didn't belong to me. I called them about it and the customer service person I spoke with seemed flustered. I guess no one ever calls when they have more money than they are supposed to. She was going to issue me a confirmation number of the case file and I was just like, "No, I don't need that. I will see it online when it leaves my account. Meanwhile, will you contact the customer who is missing $3900 and reassure them that you are working on the error?" As of yesterday the money was still there and I don't know why I found it so unsettling. Probably because I was worried that some person was using their debit card or writing checks thinking they had money that wasn't in their account...anyway, my account balance is correct now, though it took them five days to do it. Hope they put it in the right account. Wonder if that teller is in trouble or even fired over this.
I wanted to sit in my jammies and do online things and porch things. Alas, I added a shop and more work time in another town. But this is efficient, and between shops and personal playing, I can look around for other end-of-month shops that might become available. Or not. I can be happy with known shops and playing.

The Perfectionist In Me has ruled: Thou Shalt Not Leave Town Until You Have Completed Three Hausfrau Tasks. So, I cleaned the car, did laundry, and figured out the budget for the next three months (to accommodate repairs that might not be reimbursed). Yawn. That Perfectionist is so dull.

Anyway, I hope everyone has some sort of something good today! smiling smiley

Running out to meet an old friend that moved to San Diego, haven't seen him in a year. Meeting at SB with a couple old friends. Doing errands, library and it's Taco Tuesday, my favorite taco salad at Rio Cafe.
Home to make some calls, and the normal stuff. Someone got my restaurant jobs this month, not happy!!

Jas, that teller probably SHOULD be fired. She could have potentially cost that other customer a LOT of money. Even if the bank reversed any charges there could be returned check fees from other businesses. I know human error happens but i'd be livid if it were my money.
I need a perfectionist like that in my body but nope. It's just messy old me.

Uh, no to the snoring bear. Fawn update. He seems to like my fence and was back this morning. I really expected he and mom to find him another place to hang out. Maybe having the fence on one side offers him a feeling of security. It is screwing with my flower watering scheduler, but I'll live even if the flowers don'tsmiling smiley

No reports! Huzzah! I am *thisclose* to the end of a long, drawn-out project. The final tasks are spread out over a few weeks because I have scheduled a few intensive days of paid work which will probably involve time-consuming back care. The Perfectionist In Me Is Twitching And Scowling because right now, it looks like a hurricane blew through my closet, And It Has Been This Way For Awhile. But that does not matter. It only matters that the many-tentacled beast-- I mean organizational task-- is nearly finished. Take That, Perfectionist!

Coming from someone who cleans the tops of cans before putting them away in my well-organized pantry: you frighten me.
I am looking for more work today. I work out of the OK and Ks area so if anyone knows of a company that shop that area , I would love to hear about it. I also have some housework to do.
Since you asked (here goes)....Yesterday I go shopping for a fan for my family room. Kohl's has fans and I see the Manager who comes running over, how are you today blah blah blah....I ask for the price and she tells me she bought this fan for her son, how great it is, comes with a remote and so on. I'm not sure, seemed a bit pricey.
She takes it down and puts it in my cart, saying I'll give you the 20% discount and approve it for today, although our sale starts Thursday. She was over me like a cheap suit.....so, since I had the coupon, I buy it (against my better judgement). I get home and plug it in and it blows up, so today I'm doing a return at Kohl's...glad you asked?.....smiling smiley

Well today I did early morning shops, but when I got back I walked the dogs, ate a banana, played an online game, filled the car up with gas and bought milk, dealt with contractors, and fell asleep on the couch watching Property Brothers. Not sure I can handle all this excitement.

@CoffeeQueen....reminding me of when we built our house in Calabasas, I was the one with the sub-contractors.
House took 4 year to build as my ex was a perfectionist and would tear things out if not done right, like pipes, demanding copper piping, etc. We ran into dry wall strikes, everything, but, when done, it was amazing, one of a kind. reading your posts, brings back memories, learned a lot, hang in there, it will be worth it when done.....
