What are you doing today? (besides shopping)
I am doing a tiny report, at the speed of molasses. My day gig was extremely hard on the old bod today. Gradually, the board effect is dissipating and body parts move as they should. My face has stopped looking frozen (which is unfortunate, because I could market that look and get rich!) and the sense of humor has resurfaced. But it is on hold because Kathy does not feel well and other people are experiencing their MILs and houses. So, I am sending cyber well wishes.

Oh, I am fine today, thank you Shop-et-al. It was just a minor thing and she didn't mean harm, I am sure of this. Hubby is being wonderful today so life is good. Sorry your day gig was rough on you, keep on smiling 
Worked and did reports until 6pm. Grilling steaks, baked potatoes, squash, and ice cream for supper. Netflix to turn off the brain, then bed.
Thankfully I think my crud is gone. After a daytime diet of bananas, rice, and chicken noodle soup tonight's salad and spaghetti with meat sauce at a local Italian restaurant tasted really good.

Interviewing a very interesting woman who thinks she would like to rent my basement (garden) apartment Nov 1 when the short-term lodger returns home to Japan. If she leases, it would be long term. Fingers crossed.

Kathy I'm glad you feel better. I don't have anything planned for today except some shops, but they are fast easy ones nearby. Maybe I'll go shopping, as in, for myself. My sister sent me an everblooming white clematis that I need to get a pot and dirt for. We have a tiny little shed out front that is not serving it's original purpose. I decided to grow clematis over it and put a tiny bench underneath. I already have a purple one started and I'll use the white with it. Maybe I'll even find the bench. Or a fountain. This is a good time of year to shop for garden stuff.
I was actually surprised at how quickly I bounced back. Today's lunch was last night's leftovers bulked up with sauteed green peppers, mushrooms, and zucchini and mixed with Hubby's whole wheat ziti in brodo. If anything, it tasted better than the original.

I am pooped. We got through the first week of the changed-up morning job. We arranged the second vehicle for all jobs (because the primary vehicle conked out). We cleaned that vehicle. We rocked!
Tomorrow, we visit relatives who just happen to live near a distant shop. Then, we fill in for someone for a few days at another job. Finally, there is the last part of the day gig.
And then... drum roll, please... there is time for a nap. Many naps. Many, many, many, many, many naps.
There is a small set of assignments to do at the end of this month and early next month. By then, I will be well rested, the hausfrau projects will completed, The Perfectionist will be silenced, and the weather will be fall-like. Aaaahhhhhhh.....

I wish I knew how to take naps. I have tried before, and the only time I was able to succeed was when I was sick. And then it wasn't really napping as I was aware of my surroundings (cough cough, hack hack, ralph) at all times and couldn't fall asleep. My husband, he can sleep. Lucky guy.
I read somewhere that power napping is real and replaces hours of sleep. I do not know if this is true. Is this a real and true thing? If true, it would be convenient for mystery shoppers who could fit jobs into all hours of night and day. But at my level, I just need more rest/general naps to make up for several years of overwork. I also read somewhere else that some people should not nap because this disrupts sleep patterns, or something. Who knows.

When I get tired mid-afternoon I close my eyes for ten to fifteen minutes. Even if I don't completely fall asleep it's enough to recharge my batteries and give me a second wind. A cup of coffee after that power nap helps, too :-)

Today I went to our college to get tickets for theiir Friday night movie where they have someone from the film speaking afterward. Making phone calls for personal stuff, waiting for plumber after 2 and on computer, not working all week. Sleep is my biggest ally and I need 8 hours a night. 11:00 to 7:00, with a 20 minute nap at 4:00. I think it helps your brain to think clearly, gives your body time to renew and without it we become disoriented.

I visited with a friend for a couple of hours which was a nice change. Then I ran some errands and now I'm relaxing until time to go out and get something for dinner.
I had an interesting trifecta today.
I go for an hour walk at lunch. It was raining today. Hard.
1. There was a hole in my umbrella. It was in the seam.
2. I stepped in a deep puddle. My socks got wet.
3. The right sleeve of my blazer got drenched.

Today I will occupy myself with gardening activities. Preparing the giant pot I bought for the plants that will go in it, weeding the daylily bed, and perhaps digging up some shrubs i have decided to ditch and giving them to my friends on the street. This is all in preparation for the real work of putting topsoil down under my trees and getting it ready for grass seed. I did have perennials underneath them but I forgot how many seedlings come up under fruit trees. I need to be able to just mow everything down so the perennials will have to come out. After as much of that as I accomplish (and it's anyones guess after my cronies on the street get involved) I will do an Arby's shop later for dinner. I took FF shops as a way to obtain my daily unsweetened iced teas for free. I usually make it myself.

I love unsweet tea, too. Most people think it tastes too bitter, but I think adding sugar ruins it. I like the taste of the tea.

I made sun tea for years, then stopped when I cut down on the caffeine I drink. Later I heard the process can be problematic, since the water doesn't get hot enough to kill bacteria (http://www.snopes.com/food/prepare/suntea.asp).

not my favorite thing. Stop by McD's for thier large 1.00 iced tea and add my Stevia. No sugar for this kid, sugar is in everything, I don't need to add. Sweeping patio and garage. Still waiting for plumber, didn't show up yesterday.... Taco Tuesday, see if I can sneak out and get my taco salad.

I'm hoping to clean out my fridge today, or maybe tomorrow. Do a load of laundry. My mom is out of town on a business trip and my step dad is working late so they need me to go to their house and let their dog out. I was hoping to make a batch of English muffins today but I think that will have to wait until later in the week.
My plumber just left, and told me never never put coffee grinds down the disposal...tip for today!!

I love my unsweet tea. When I get one in a drivethru I always check before driving forward, I get sweet about half the time. It tastes like drinking sugar to me, awful.

I highly suggest a Mr Coffee Iced Tea Maker. I've probably gone through 4-5 of them in the past 20 years. $20 and makes a pitcher of iced tea just as good as making it in a regular teapot and WAYYYYY easier.
