What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

I bought The Breakfast Club dvd from Target today for $5.00. They rereleased it as a Classic.

I really like Target's $5.00 dvd deals.

The guy I met at the food bank is amazing: kind, thoughtful, a good listener, a good heart, a hard worker. My ex pops in my head whenever my thoughts go to far. I guess that keeps me honest. He wants to get together this weekend. I told him yes, but I'm not sure.

Honny your new guy sounds a lot like my wife. So a word of advice from someone in the know: If that is who he really is? KEEP HIM. smiling smiley Just take the time to make sure that is who he really is.
I've been route shopping so my kitchen is a wreck as is the rest of the house. So I'll be cleaning all day. And trying to figure out the settings for my pointer pad. Effing microsoft must have updated something because everything is not working right. One drive wasn't syncing last night when I needed all those photos for reports and the pointer pad which should be disabled is going haywire.

This might just be me, but that's exactly why I never allow microsoft to do automatic updates!! Nope. Not gonna happen. I've read too many instances of stuff happening like what you are experiencing, Coffee. Hope you get it all straightened out soon.
Groceries at Aldi and "the BIG" store. Neither is for MS.

Work. Extra work. Nothing from the project list because I needed a loooooooooooooooooong ol' nap.

@HonnyBrown: I agree with CoffeeQueen. Take enough time to find out all the aspects of this guy. He like fine wine, might improve with time.

I am grouting my white kitchen tile and I just got a Mani yesterday (bad timing). Home all day watching news,
not a good day, but I'm safe. Cleaning, my un-favorite thing to do.....

Yes, your going...don't blow this....smiling smiley

I'm proud of myself, I cleaned my kitchen tile grout and it looks good,$6.97 from Lowe's compared to 150 done professionally. Watched the news all day, oy vey....

If all goes well today, I will treat myself after completing three ginormous projects. On this Halloween, I plan to replace candy with the Halloween-themed Agatha Raisin on Acorn TV Go me.

So the neighboring city just got good again. JAX is coming to town! I want it for personal shopping, not mystery shopping. *vows to lose the excess tonnage and fit into clothes from JAX*

That's exactly why my ex pops in my head. He wasnt who I thought he was, or who he said he was. Lesson learned.

I told New Guy that I need to go slow. He's okay with that.

Quietly celebrating the Nats' World Series win. Closing 2 bank accounts and a credit card, all at the same bank. (Not MS to close them but was paid to open them.) Cook and freeze a lot of bacon. More laundry. Make space in the freezer for several meals of pot roast and gravy.

Did a MS at lunch in between regular job. Had a check up on the eye. Vision up to 20/30 and still improving. I will be doing the second one before the end of the year. It's hard to read words and numbers when your eyes are fighting with one another, lol. One see close up and one sees distance. Makes the regular job almost impossible.
Yesterday we got a contract for our house. We countered. Since then there's been some back and forth (written on our part, verbal on theirs). This morning our agent was going to contact a second party that had expressed interest, and ask the others for their final offer in writing. Now we wait...and hope the first party has the hook implanted enough that they can't run.

Geez, I hope this thread doesn't get contaminated.

Kathy, congratulations on the offer(s)!

Honny - if he's agreeing with your request to go slow that's a good sign he genuinely likes you. Sounds promising.
Had a tire need fixing so no shops today. After that appt ill do an errand and my baby is taking me out to dinner because she had a very good day in the stock market.
Went to Nordstrom rack before doing my salad place for lunch. Bought a cute black and white winter scarf.
Waiting for new cleaning crew to give me an estimate, house is going back on market with a new Agent
I have faith in...getting it ready for showing in a week. Weather cooler but beautiful, and no smoke here,

I did a shop at a nursery today. I bought an ivy plant for under reimbursement. I told New Guy about it since I was tickled pink to buy something under reimbursement at a nursery. He told me about his tropical garden.

I was floored!

At the end of an absurd and long day, I can mutter my mantra: three more days... three more days... three more days... There are three scheduled (non-consecutive) work days before hiatus or retirement.

The Inner Perfectionist Is Not Amused And She Is Irritating Grammarians And Sticklers By Capitalizing Every Word.!

In these two hurried days between all-day merches in far-flung places, I can finish some of the planned projects. TIP [c'mon, you know it's me and not the politician] wanted every detail completed, up to and including cleaning every bit of everything and everywhere and white-glove. The compromise is to clean and sort later. For now, rearranging is sufficient to keep the work flowing, even if these efforts lurch along between work days.

Honny...you have something in common with "new guy" ..... your interest in gardening!! It's a start!!

Today is cleaning house, as per my usual Saturday routine. Also doing a bit extra, as I have for the past month, as my big sis from up north is flying down to spend several days with me next week. One day we'll drive up into the next state and visit with my son, DIL, and 2 grandbabies. She hasn't seen the babies yet....last time she saw my son and DIL was at their wedding 6 years ago! And the oldest baby isn't really a baby anymore...she'll be 4 on the 7th!! Should be a nice time!
I'm supervising our yard guy as it's time for end of summer clean up. I have been too busy to do any of it myself. Trees need trimming, lots of weed eating and various other things to do. After that I'll clean the bathroom and I'm working on laundry.

I still can't get my pointer to STAY STILL. I've disabled the pad several times and it keeps going back to enabled. The next laptop i buy is going to have a physical switch. *cussing*
We have a lot in common. Every time we speak, something new comes up that we both like. Today was hiking trails.

I sound like a high school student with her first crush. I'm trying to reign in this emotions, but I can't. And I don't think I want to!

Hah. Yesterday, I did everything I could for one project. Today, we move the remaining items back to storage and schlep home the last batch of stored stuff that needs my attention. There will still be a mess in the living room, but it will be smaller and go away soon. I will use only a few moments of my hiatus or retirement to complete the final tasks. This leg of the long and zany journey began with 2018's late spring-early summer motivation, encountered an excruciating leg injury, resumed fourteen months later when the injury abated, and ends with A Somewhat Mollified Inner Perfectionist Who Wanted This Done, Completely,Last Summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

Now there is time for longer workouts, reading in random or themed ways, and contemplating (briefly) world events. I cannot do anything about anything, but it is always interesting to pick an issue and look at in from a few different perspectives. There are so many things happening in the world!

Today is church and finishing a homework assignment. New Guy will be in church today, and then we'll have coffee after.
