So for my latest made-up-on-the-spot potential defense for anyone who should need one, I will say this: when Nancy Pelosi and others cut corners and foisted ACA upon us via our elected officials who were denied the opportunity to give the proposed legislation a due process, she set an example for the recent rush on the capitol. She was and is the leader. What does she expect: do as I say and not as I do? !? My summary judgement would expand and encapsulate this, dismiss all charges and cases, and set the misinformed free.

Meanwhile, we could have a new national anthem... or pledge... I pledge allegiance to the United States of Lunacy.... ,,,, ,,,,, with gender-free status and injustice for all.

But anyways.... I've been looking for a new living room couch set, as I'm just about done with emptying the boxes that have been in there since we moved in this summer! I've been to about 5 furniture stores and nothing has really jumped out at me. The walls are light gray. What color couch would look nice? I need something that will hide some of the dog fur :O)

Shopper 797---one of my pet peeves is folks who will spend hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars on furniture to match a wall that can easily be changed with $35.00 can of paint and a few hours of time.
If you want to hide dog fur get a pattered couch in colours to match your dog. I would be glad to go shopping with you if we could as I like shopping even when it's on my own time and dime.

Work. Errands. Read assorted opinions and editorials. Note the vast differences of opinion, applaud the skillful weaving of time, precedence, and history, and wonder whether some commentators have any working memory at all. OTOH, they might just like to cherry-pick their factoids. Meanwhile, a fresh pot of coffee is calling my name... sea... you rhyme with tea... why are you drinking me?...

Car wash at Costco. Picked up some blankets from a neighbor, which I will hand over to a co-worker tomorrow. He will take them to Mexico. It's cold there now.

Well I have light grey walls and a brown couch.. it is patterned. I like it, but I sure wish @Rho* would shop with me to make the rest all come together. I hate figuring it out

My living room room was empty after I bought my house. I found some temporary furniture on Freecycle. Temporary turned to permanent since the sofa and love seat are well constructed and comfortable. I chose a wall color based on the furniture.

Who remembers old ties from .... 60's? 70's? These often had browns, blues, greys, golds, and creams in mono-color or blended together. They were often striped. I would not prefer stripes in my room, but blending greys with browns with pillows, throws, planters, etc. spares the hassle of painting and makes a tame color outcome. Easy! And cheap! In my personal world, there are no grey walls because these make me feel ill. I like creamy walls (but would not mind real wood here and there) with other colors elsewhere. In my work world, there are rows and rows of charcoal grey cubicles. Fortunately, my storage space-turned work area contains the creamy walls and old-school tan furniture with a bit of mauve (and the left-behind red pillows). Not offering myself as a shopping companion, though. I think Rho* would make that experience wonderful for everyone.

We all worked. DH has just about had it with online teaching. We all detest Zoom. Breakfast, work, lunch, work, snacks, work, dinner, showers, started to watch "Money Heist" on Netflix. Almost fainted as we are all interested.

Silly couple of days here. Hubby electronics are bat crap crazy, which [he said] necessitated a silly series of events which led only to one good thing: I got smaller jeans and fab coat at thrift in my price range. They are perfect. Because of the daily sale, they cost less than any one item would have cost at a post-holiday sale. I and my closet are happily passing along larger clothes and blessings. Huzzah.

Manicure and pedicure today. She did a crappy job on my brows. That helps with my decision to only get them threaded from now on.

It seems that those who allowed the shenanigans were giving enough rope for a noose. The powers that be are talking impeachable offenses.

That is a broad territory! On those grounds, we can impeach Nancy Pelosi for obstructing the democratic process while Congress was in session (re:ACA. She made the house vote for it in order to find out what was in it. That was not overtly violent, but it negated all our votes and denied due process). This disenfranchised all voters for that term and all house members' votes for that session. It killed the democratic process, lessened my confidence in the government, and possibly harmed other people's willingness to trust in the process of government. Now, she dares to point fingers???!?!?!?

Then, there is the extremely unpopular question that must be asked in any trial: to what extent was anyone already excitable, especially to the extent of rushing the capitol? Any excitable person might have done this in response to stimuli over a period of time more so than to any urging by an outgoing president. Another sticky wicket involves their feelings. Some of them fought for rights. The government, as they saw it, might have been failing them. (Nancy Pelosi abridged everyone's rights with the ACA debacle.) What other recourse did they have to get the government's attention long enough to re-direct it to their grievances? I do not know if this is their situation, but everyone should be considering all angles.

In his own words, the fellow who was in Nancy Pelosi's office declared that he was pushed into the office. He did not break into it. This might be proved or disproved. Who knows?

Everyone is entitled to their point of view, including people who have jobs. It got messy, apparently, for some employees.

According to Politico, the impeachment charges are not easy to prove. Other charges might have had a better chance of leading to an impeachment. People who think like lawyers would have a larger view of all these considerations. But, why bother about that? President Trump is leaving the office, the space, and the activities associated with them.

According to me, impeachment is a waste of time and energy. Our elected representatives would serve us better by building on Tammy Duckworth's strong resolve and using that to prepare their thinking for any number of possible events that could affect them, us, and/our national allies. For example, N. Korea is making noises, probably to test a new president. But it would be a mistake to blow that off and taper off Trump's strong and good efforts in managing that situation. N. Korea is ready to pounce! A significant number of them have tested positive for Covid-19 recently. Would it be well for them to relax, identify more essential or more effective legislative duties, and retain as much strength and focus as possible for the future with a new president?

New day, new mercies for those whom the fed favors, and new mercies for me because God Himself grants these to me. I am thrilled to have finished my distant work before snowstorms arrive. It is a sufficient adventure to slog it out with local snow. Ooohed, Aaahed, and then rolled my eyes at blurbs about hair cuts. This batch of online change agents was promoting the cute, short cuts. I remember those. They are an adorable pita because they need to be trimmed every two weeks. Bleh! I did not like that before covid, and I refuse to do it during the covid era. This is my wordy note to self about hair scissors. I should get them and trim my own hair.

Placing an Aldi delivery order. " Settling up" with housemate regarding who paid for what over the past 2 weeks. Packaging stuff to return to Amazon when out tomorrow. Day dreaming about future travels.

Working on figuring out the ins and outs of my new Apple-based computer. Over the past three days I've made great progress, but still have a lot to go. Other than that, getting outside to enjoy almost-50 degree weather that will disappear by tomorrow.

It's warmed up into the 50s here with southerly (instead of those nasty north-easterly) winds, so I'm back to walking. Walked yesterday and will later on today.

I sent my Mom a text and asked if I could stop by for a visit on Saturday. I have a bunch of stuff in my Target cart. The longer I leave stuff in there, the bigger the cart grows.

A trip to the outlet mall-20 minutes from my house-to (hopefully) find some shoes at the Merrill or Walking Company store. A mattress shop halfway there to help subsidize my mileage.

Work. Nap. Errands. Watch really old mystery movies. This boxed set features a large selection of flicks from many decades. It is a treat to note the differences between movies from all those eras of movie-making efforts.

Must. Not. Nap. Awake since 1 AM. But if I nap it will happen again tonight!
Power keeps going off every time I start something.
They are replacing power poles.
Mostly relaxing, and alternating between book and TV!

I am going to visit my parents on Saturday.

Thursday morning when I left out, my garage door would not open. It worked fine when I came home. My wifi doesn't quite reach to the garage, so I have to get an extender.

Work, work, work, play on forum, put away laundry from yesterday, and get outta' here & play! The weather is lovely! The sun is shining, I can walk without knee-high boots, and if we go now we will avoid possible issues with next week's events. We are not going to what passes for a big city here, but we will be near one. If enough activists, protestors, and/or sincere celebrants show up, they will be in the smaller town for lodging, at least. After all the hoopla, the weather could be nasty (as Winter progresses) and we would have to postpone. Who wants to postpone covid-neutral fun????? Not me.

Today is a virtual professional learning day for my school district. So far. so good....

Zoom meeting, lunch, dinner prep. Now bundling up for a walk outside in the snow flurries. Probably a second walk after Hubby gets off work.

I'm glad I am not the only one that likes to walk in the snow. Let it snow!!!! I went out this morning but now it's really snowing hard. It is beautiful....

wales, how did the Aldi delivery go? Instacart? I thought of doing that but I'm so fussy about what I eat. lol
