What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

The two Aldi deliveries that we have had were great. The shopper was in phone contact as they shopped, asking about preferences, showing pictures and prices of possible substitutions, and later letting us know when they were approaching the house. We found them to be cheerful and thoughtful of our preferences and needs. Yes, Instacart.

heather, I used to work for Instacart prior to Amazon. wales had a great shopper. Not everyone knows how to shop for groceries or correctly package them.

My family and I went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. I was so influenced by your raves. It was our first time there. We all enjoyed ourselves and had a lot of laughs. Food was fresh and delicious. We spent 25% of what we would have at my DH's preferred choice of a fancy Italian restaurant. However, it felt cold in there; temperature wise-drafty and hospitality was non-existent. It sure is a popular eatery though.

I did loads of laundry and washed my kitchen floor in the AM. Went to Target with 2 DDs and bought Valentine's Day stuff. Wound up with a big, stuffed pillow too. Had a great day and hope you all did too.

Getting down to the serious work of assessing different brand/models of stair lift and contacting potential vendors/installers. I know what features I need and want and have some good sources of independent reviews to help.

Working, 2 shops, grocery store, laundry, cooking, listening to music, getting ready for the week, binge on Outlander.

My turnaround visit to see my parents was awesome. I came home with enough food to last for some time. I went to Aldi's today to get a wok. They didn't have it. I went to Home Depot for my living room paint.

I last painted my entire apartment twelve or so years ago. It looked wonderful for about a month. Then, the unit settled more and more and created larger and larger gaps that looked like shadows and/or dirty places. This place should be re-painted now, but that must wait. I can clean the walls with... I think Simple Green was recommended?... and make them appear a little less bad. My big thing this year is comfier porch furniture.

Hubby is off work today for the MLK holiday. We're starting the day with a Zoom Gospel Yoga class through the History Museum, then see where the day takes us.

Subbing at a Hutterite colony. How can 9 students be this loud?.

Housemate and I have discovered that is we pick-up our grocery order at the local Giant Store, we have more and better product options than if we order delivery, which seems to be assembled from a warehouse location that does not stock or will not supply many products. So, today is an on-ite grocery pick up, plus a bank and a pharmacy drive-thru nearby.

Starting to schedule February shops. Freezer inventory and meal planning.

Slept late. Should do errands, but am trying to trade errands and tasks with hubby so that I can stay indoors all day. I misplaced my phone again. I last saw it on Saturday evening or possibly Sunday morning. This time, there is no panic. I had completed all gigs and had not scheduled any for the future. If I never find it, I will miss app shops, the convenience of my bank app, and all the affirmations I put on there as little reminders of lovelier ways of thinking. Often, the sweet intentions of these affirmations are demolished by the ferocity of haters or drowned by the noise of the world at large or simply by people who do no know that the well-being of the world requires these ideas. Fortunately, I can get them in other ways. That is what I will work on today as one of my daily projects.

I went for a long walk and will make vegetable beef soup from leftover sirloin tip roast!!

I found my phone! I scheduled some gigs already! (The black phone dropped down into the work supplies box and hid behind a black folder there. It was too dark during work hours, even with the interior light on, to find it earlier. What a difference a day [daylight] makes.....]

Hubby is 30 percent of the way through his last 100 days of work before retirement, so on my way home from shops today I swung by the party store and bought him a helium balloon to celebrate the milestone. Back at home, we discovered the cat likes to play with the balloon ribbon.

I can't imagine doing Kindergarten online!!

I scored a morning subbing at a Hutterite colony. Close to favourite butcher. And close to school where I left my best shoes last month.

Home on couch by 2!! Great day.

Put the rack on the back of my vehicle so I can take my bike in for off-season service tomorrow. Trying to sign up for some mattress shops that are right around the corner from the bike shop, but the MSC has had the records blocked for a couple of hours.
