What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

My big girl fridge was delivered this morning! The handyman came at 8:30. He removed the sliding glass doors and did some other things. The delivery dudes came at 9. They left my old fridge in the middle of the garage floor. I didn't notice until after the handyman was gone. I moved it into place against the wall. It wasn't as heavy as I thought it would be.

Work and extra work x 3 were late. Thus, no time for a proper nap before the next job. Fortunately, this week I am warm and can go instead of staying home and living in blankies. Speaking of that, how is walesmaven today?

Thank you for asking. I slept most of yesterday and still slept well last night. A few, very few, lingering side effects today. I expect to be full-steam-ahead tomorrow. This is certainly preferable to having Covid-19.

Bought new furniture (two loveseats) for the living area. Because they are special order, we can start looking for them in September.

Upgrading to a larger fridge means a lot of empty space. I went to the market to get stuff to fill it up. I was very surprised to see that Safeway now carries the same items that Aldi's has. The prices were much higher. I finally got some rice wine.

Had a little nap between jobs. Huzzah! It was not long enough, but it helped. I am "supposed" to heft a boatload of stuff from point a to point b and then to... wherever. But no. I am watching a movie (Almost Friends) and marveling at our Springtime. We drove through a snowstorm for four hours in the wee hours. Most of the snow was gone when i left the afternoon job. I must enjoy this while it lasts because temperatures are expected to reach the 60s by the end of the week. Upper 60s are my upper limit for absolute heaven on earth! 70s are merely heaven on earth.

Got to hang out laundry. Got to visit a neighbour and enjoy a glass of wine in the driveway. Those were the highlights after a busy week.
I got my container garden planted. Tomatoes and peppers are in the big planters; and mint, oregano and basil seeds are in smaller containers.

My manicure is at noon.

Hey Y'all!
It's bright and sunny here in Georgia! yawning smiley) We'll do online church, take Feonia to the park, run to the store for a few things. We're going to put some hamburgers on the new grill!
First shot of Pfizer for husband today. I am scheduled to take it after a week. Usual chores of cooking and cleaning.
Work, extra work x 1, thoroughly clean one car, and finish laundry.

My desperately needed manicure was a bust. The place was very crowded and had no social distancing. Employees did not wear masks correctly. I left after several minutes.

Bummer.

I don't know if you are brave, handy with tools, desperate, and/or super desperate, but..... you could get a relatively inexpensive pneumatic tool kit for home use. You might not have as many color and nail art options as you could get at a salon, but you would know where your tools have been. You could skip the mask and be safe.

We went food shopping with Mom and settled her at home after brunch. We have held her hostage here 2 weeks over. Told her we will be picking her up for another extended stay with us. Planning Mother's Day has us excited. :-)
Distant shops. Oh. Not supposed to mention that. These were re-scheduled due to weather and road closures. And, as luck, life, or the weirdness of here would have it, there is another weather warning for today. So we are leaving early in order to finish one assignment before things get bad. There will be time between gigs to complete the first report on my phone (and to want to tear my hair out when it attempts to create new words and even a new language when I am trying to type narratives in basic English). I would rather type the narratives on a computer at home. If we are stranded, that will not happen. However, if we make it back as planned, we can complete more work here. So that is is my vague little day.

A former housemate is a plumber. He stopped by to give me an estimate on installing the water line for my fridge. It's good to have friends in the trades!

I ordered my contacts today.

Yesterday I did a walk around the lake near my house. I ran into a fellow walker I haven't seen since pre-COVID. We walked together and it was nice to catch up with her.

Grade 2 for 1/2 the day and a mixture after that. Very tiring. On the couch now. Not doing my couch to 5k
Mostly free day! We need to do some extra things for the hubby job that we never have time to do while on the job. That is not so bad. In a perfect world, I will clear out a pile of @#$#$%& and sort it into its destinations: keep, toss, give, and "Oh, my. What was I thinking!? i will rethink this."

I just walked to Post Office to mail a letter. Just doing errands....going to finish my book and get another at the library. Doing laundry and maybe plant seeds later.
I am SO HAPPY George Floyd's murderer was found guilty on all charges!

I finally got my nails done. I feel like a woman and not a feral cat.

I share your happiness at the jury verdicts. Most of the jury members were under the age of 40 and I think that made a big difference.

DH had to step in for a K class today for 1/2 day in another building. He did not enjoy them at all and i truly hope the feeling was not mutual. I am not a teacher but i would much rather teach wee ones for the little that i know. He prefers his upper middle school. I was LMAO at his lamenting and stories today.
I am an elementary school teacher, but kindergarten is a whole other ball game. Exhausting.
Today, I am subbing for the art teacher. She is the principal, so most of my day is covering classes so teachers can do various other things.
Work and extra work x 1. Trying to make a gig-specific app work. Eating salad medley for breakfast, which is yummy and healthy.

I went to the gym (for a Body Pump class) and made a bank deposit on the way home. Now I'm having trouble getting myself motivated to do anything else.

[I hear you but all my small mind knows is just how horridly misbehaved my class was to subs; 7th grade and up. Not me, ☺.
My DH taught Judo and ju-jitsu classes P/T before COVID. Speaking to the parents the few times I was there post my own kids, they love him and say he has a much better command of the classes than the owner.
I guess he's doing something right. I So respect all teachers .quotence]

I should be searching for shops, but going to go to historic part of Jefferson Barracks Park (the historical section next to the National Cemetery) and walk. Lunch afterwards.
