What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

If nothing else you could make it part of the liquid for a Mexican-inspired soup.

k. That was the plan. Here is what happened. Supplies were so late that someone needed a sub. We did their work. Oh, my! It was fun in that we had not subbed on that route before and we had to plan out an efficient route around town. It was irksome in that two sets of paperwork became separated and we could not combine all information into one trip. We had to backtrack. At least we know for the future that there are at least two sets of paperwork! So now you know what happens to my projects... grinning smiley

Today is reconciling my MS spreadsheet and calendar.

Road trip (45 minutes through some lovely Ozark foothills) to get second Covid vaccine. Lunch in that town then home to baby myself the rest of the day.

Lots of laundry that didn't happen yesterday; take non-driving neighbor grocery shopping; pay bills and update May budget estimates.

After work and 2 shops, I went for a 30 minute walk around the equestrian center. After, I cam home and treated myself to a glass of ice water from my new ice maker. I didn't activate it on Tuesday after the install.

Got my second COVID shot this afternoon. Cooked a lot yesterday and today just in case I don’t feel too good next few days.
If wrestling with your duvet is anything like my experiences that by itself will be more than enough exercise :-)

Driving halfway across the state for a weekend-long meeting. It actually doesn't start until tomorrow morning, but I will be attending the officer's meeting tonight.

Nope, just snuggled in a duvet watching TV

Today I'm going to do one of those love/hate tasks by researching refrigerators. We need a new one and I love the idea of replacing the old one but I hate seeing the checking acct balance go down.
Praying for everyone to be okay. My extended family members have COVID and some are quite serious (outside US) My sis and BIL haven't slept in two days. Her in laws are both hospitalized and one of them might not make it.
Another day of just our work, another day of finishing on time. Huzzah!

Talked to mum and dad for an hour. With the time difference it's not always easy. I am relieved that they are both staying home and taking precautions. Both my sisters have been on their case and mum said they both yell on the phone a lot if they get the slightest hint that they went out for anything! Well, as long as they are okay.
I walked to store to get food and my mother called to say I sent her the nicest gift of all. I sent her pictures of myself and a very good friend in a frame, a photo of she and I together from June 2008 and a cute teddy bear. I also sent her a mother's day card. And I am going down to visit her again in My...even tho she said NOT to cuz I was just there. LOL smiling smiley
Visited 2 places to "try on" various office work chair models. Selected one at Staples and ordered it so that they can assemble it in the store for me to pick-up. While there, looked more closely at a Brother monochrome all-in-one printer and quizzed a knowledgeable sales associate about that. After some thought, ordered the printer to be delivered this week at my home. Both my old all-in-one printer and my current office chair have died. These purchases were long overdue.

Supplies were late but our people who most want their delivery on time got that today. Everyone else is, I think, accustomed to late deliveries on Sunday. "It's late. It must be Sunday!" At least we are not still out there doing sub routes. ! Now, we are taking on long-neglected house tasks which involve work at home and a few errands.

Hmm.
Have I mentioned that I am on a new 11 days on - 3 days off -11 days on- 3 days off schedule until further notice???

Only 2 out of 7 employees will show up tomorrow. So it's me and one other person instead of 7 tomorrow.

Side note, I volunteered at a vaccine location yesterday, after work (I went in very early). Pretty cool. Little location, but I think that they did about 40-50 shots per hour. I translated and helped with paperwork. I can draw blood, but I am no longer licensed to give shots. (Fine by me!)
I went for a walk in my neighborhood this morning. The 1.5 hour trek turned into 2.5 hours due to running into neighbors and having nice catch up conversations. One lady goes to my church. She told me we may resume in August for a parking lot service.

I am much better today. I let myself be a couch potato the day after and did not even turn my computer on. I feel back to normal today except that my arm is still sore, hoping that will go away by tomorrow. Thanks for asking! Have done a lot of streaming and podcasts and relaxed. I had prepared for the worst and had tons of food ready to just be heated up,.so did not have do do any cooking at all.
Made it back from my meeting. It was an interesting experience staying in a hotel. All areas socially distanced, but since I was only on the third floor I chose to use the stairs instead of the elevators. Mainly for dietary reasons I did not eat in the hotel restaurant, but I understand from others that the available food was pretty bad. The strangest thing was that my room did not get any type of housekeeping attention. That didn't bother me, but I wished they would have mentioned it at check in.

Getting back into my walking routine has left me pretty exhausted early in the day. I was ready for an 8 hour nap by noon, which is not feasible on a work night.

I got some awful tasting energy drinks on an app shop this afternoon. I mixed them with vodka and ice, and now I am awake until bedtime.

Picked up Mom and we went shopping for my niece's bridal shower next month. She had to postpone everything for 14 months due to Covid. Bought stuff off her registry. Had one item shipped because it was large and heavy. Then off to the Capital Grille to finalize the graduation party and menu for my baby. She will obtain her M.S. degree in mid May. Gypped last year for her B.S.. Thirty people in a private room; family and a few close friends. We are so excited.
