I received a letter from the IRS (they still have me under my married name and I do NOT want that). Hand printed on the envelope: "COVID-19."

I'm returning it to sender. I don't know what the source was.

Free day!

Whereas yesterday was primarily for workouts and tiny projects (such as getting a few groceries--not a shop) that will feed us while not making everyday a non-stop kitchen mess, today is for projects. If I am clever and it is not too cold, snowy, or slippery, I can donate yet another batch of stuff. This, of course, clears space in which to sort still more stuff and find more donations. Eventually, that will end. I also need to start shredding. There are seven bins of stuff that can be shredded. I was thinking that if I filled those bins with non-perishables for the food pantry people could eat, I would not have bins that beg to be filled, and my world would be as it should be. First, I need to complete today's tasks and remember to set up tomorrow's cooking project which will provide enough leftovers for a week (unless hubby really likes it, in which case it will last for two days).

After work I came home and put the ingredients for Mediterranean Chicken in the crock pot. I went for a walk in my neighborhood after that. The intent was to return home and fold the clothes that have been accumulating in the dryer.

There is much to be said for good intentions!

Bought and installed the mounting for laundry room shelves. Walked the hardware store while I was there.

So yesterday was a little different than I anticipated. It was better than that! Except for lunch. But that is not so important. Today involves early job that is on time (huzzah!) and whatever I feel like doing as long as it includes shredding, sorting, cleaning, and a nap. Bwahaha! Must go now in order to be on time for the early job.....

This seems like a better place for a wee comment about bold money than the thread where that is mentioned.

How about this for bold money?

21 And He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury, 2 and He saw also a certain poor widow putting in two mites.[a] 3 So He said, “Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all; 4 for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God, but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had.” - Luke 21:1-4 (NKJV)

I got my steps in at work so I am in chill mode for the rest of the day. My outside plants enjoyed the recent rain.

Spa Day!

Massage, Facial, Makeup, Mani/Pedi and healthy lunch delivery. Five hours of precious Me Time. Already hit the treadmill for four miles, because there will be no steps logged once I enter that blissful day spa.
Work, nap, movie, workout, laundry.

Enough!

I was fifteen minutes away from leaving for the gym when I picked up two shops for on the way home. Now that reports are filed I have no idea what the rest of the day holds. Dinner is leftovers, and most home straightening projects done.

So today is all about work, nap, little meeting before other work (we were shown performance stats and now, I suppose, will be told what they mean..... hmmmm.....), presumably that other work, and home in time for movie and a workout.

I found an accent chest for the top of my stairs. I just happened to see it at Big Lots during a shop. Amazon has it for $30 cheaper. I'm also going to get a lamp to put on top of the chest. Now, I just need to paint.

Quick Aldi trip, then collect my new office chair at Staples. Try to get my new all-in-one and my laptop to talk to one another.

I'm searching for a new dedicated mystery shopping charge card, looking for something with cash back and no annual fee. It's SO confusing! (And yes, I know that if I time it right I can find a charge card-opening shop, but right now there's nothing available to me. I have to decide if I want to wait.)

Other than that, today is a sunny day in the middle of a stretch of wet. Hubby and I are going to go explore a part of town we don't get to much, finishing up with a cup of coffee at a new-to-us location.

Managed a bit of housework, in addition to my Duvet/DVD time. Hope the library has the next Call The Midwives soon.
Check the Chase credit cards.

I have had a card for about 10 years. I signed up for a card on a shop (SunTrust) and had it for a few years. It sucked.

In September, I looked around for a new card, and rediscovered what was in my wallet.

They offer a 1-3% percentage on dining, travel and other stuff. They also offer 5% quarterly in specific areas. This quarter is gas and home improvement.

Pointa are redeemable for cash, gift cards, charity, etc.

I'm not sure what the interest rate is because I don't carry a balance.

I finally went to the farmers's market in my neighborhood. I stopped by 4 vendors for basics. Big Lots sent me a 20% coupon that I am going to apply to my furniture.

Laundry, scrubbing kitchen floors, consolidating things to donate; general kitchen clean-up. Scheduling a bunch of bank shops for May. Consolidating trash and recycling items. Locating documents to make tax work easier tomorrow.

Attempting to clear out a small bedroom to create a home office for the offspring. Dumb husband is refusing to get rid of his books that he NEVER reads. Ughhhh. So frustrating. Who keeps old books or any book for that matter that you have no use for? What an eyesore and space hog. I need to go take a nap.
@Madetoshop: LOLOL!

I love books and have accumulated enough of them to keep me busy for a few months when I officially and completely retire. All I need is a bit more money. Then, I can read until I run out of books. At that time, I will fetch more and more and more of them! grinning smiley

Madetoshop, I agree with the waste of space, but I understand your husband. I love books. I read all my books on my phone or tablet now, but I have a whole bookshelf of books I read years ago. I know it's a waste to keep them, but I can't seem to let them go. They're like old friends.
