What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Prepped for tomorrow's post office shops. Bought a birthday present for granddaughter and four cans of vegetables at Aldi to fill other boxes. Came home and packed everything.

Booking some June bank shops; reorganizing my calendar for this week and next; continuing work on taxes. (Groan ! Even though I will be due serious refunds this year, doing forms by hand is a PITA>winking smiley

Plucking dandelion blossoms before they go to seed. If I keep up, I may prevent Hubby from dumping poison sad smiley
Repeating week five day one of couch to 5k
Clean the car and relax.
Before I left for my shops I partially prepped dinner. When I got home Hubby and I took a walk, then I put dinner in the oven. However, somehow the oven didn't get turned on (or got turned off) and 90 minutes later nothing had cooked. We'll be eating late tonight :-)

Planted some coriander seeds today in hopes of fresh cilantro. I do this every year. Husband's turn to make dinner so I will be lazing around watching a movie. Ice House on Amazon Prime.
My windowsill coriander died. I like cilantro, so I may try again. I didn't plant any outside.

@HonnyBrown.. Have you tried pounding the seeds a little. This way, they grow faster and better.
Went to work. Commutation was trying. Bunch of annoying commuter freaks. Maybe I am one of them?
I did! Unfortunately, I kind of crushed them.

Work. Not sure about the rest of the day... hubby might have far-flung errands. If so, I tag along and @!$#^#@ him off when I force him to set the phone aside while he is driving. (Please do not suggest a mounting system or anything else that could encourage him to access the phone. Driving the vehicle is enough! !!) OTOH, if I am at home for the rest of the day, I can finish one project. Which one will it be?

Speaking of cilantro, lots went to seed in my garden last fall but none came up. Parsley and green onion came up.
Had to go run errands yesterday do didn't do my run. No wind, so I will go for a bike ride today.
Keep up with dandelions and what ever other tasks I can get motivated to do.
I love growing mint. It spreads so fast. I always like making mint cilantro chutney for rice and my savory pancakes.
I moved the mountain of laundry from the dryer to the bed. Now I can't wash my sheets.

Today Hubby and I are fully vaccinated. We celebrated by riding our bikes to White Castle and getting a free dessert on a stick for showing our card.

The IRS website has a thing called free file fillable forms. It doesn't provide help or advice but if you know what you need to do you can accomplish it pretty easily.

@HonnyBrown If you prefer starchless rice, boil 4 cups of water for 1 cup rice. When water comes to a boil, add a pinch of salt and the washed and soaked rice (pre soak rice for 20 minutes and drain the water when you add rice) Let the water come to a boil again. Simmer when it starts boiling over. Keep checking every 10 minutes. I take a grain and smash with my finger. That is when it's ready. Drain in a colander. Let it cool. You can later add fried onions or veggies. Use an Instant Pot. Makes the fluffiest rice minus all the headache. I even have a pressure cooker that I use for making Rice/Pilaf. I know many ppl are scared of the sound it makes but it makes rice in about 7 minutes.
I use an Instant Pot for rice, but my daughter in law taught me how to measure the water with my finger when you cook rice. You pour the grains into the pan and place your index finger so that it is touching the surface of the rice. Add enough water so it comes up to your first knuckle.

Work, nap, and more work.

Trip to the botanical garden and then a walk to a nearby coffee shop. I know the coffee is going to be good when they only offer a pour-over option for a 'basic' cup.

I had major technical difficulties yesterday when attempting to input 2 apartment shops. None of my browsers would load. The bluetooth on the second laptop disappeared. Finally, I rebooted one of the laptops and it got the hint. I finished at 1am.

Grocery shopping and errands. My County Executive dialed back the mask-wearing requirement yesterday, but I found out the vast majority of stores are still requiring them.

Late work and extra work x 3-- which is the equivalent of x 5. Need to adjust the rest of the day.....

Made a quick tour of about 10 neighborhood yard sales, buying nothing. (Folks looking for stuff for all ages of kids, however, really hit the jackpot.) Big grocery store run. CVS drive-thru for Rx. Assembled pot roast in crock pot with sale beef. Got flounder for tonight's supper. Prepared MD state property tax abatement form for older, moderate income homeowners. Time for a nap !

Check gasbuddy.com for stations in your zip code that have fuel.

I have fuel in all my cars, but I am conserving until next week when all the stations should get back to normal in terms of this issue. I see no reason to tempt fate. I have gasbuddy as well, and when 80% of the stations are out of fuel it is not as helpful as you may think. Crazy thing, both stations in my small town have never run out, but they do have long lines every day.

Domestic Goddess? I don't think so. Marathon laundry, breakfast prep, vacuuming, deep cleaned one bathroom, grocery store, lunch prep, threw a bunch of stuff out (curbside - gone!), cleaned the pollen filled windowsills, took a nap. Dinner was on their own.
