What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

After yesterday's gym shop my legs are on fire. I went to my membership gym for yoga to stretch out, but other than that I'm moving slowly. Big plans tonight to watch the St. Louis Cardinals wild card baseball game and hope for the best.

We went to the Pumpkin Farm yesterday after our blood test. Results came this morning and thankfully, we "passed" with flying colors. The pumpkin farm had as many kids as dating couples. We went on a tractor ride, a cow train and inside a corn maze. There were so many attractions that we came home at 4. We didn't pick a pumpkin coz it was 18 bucks. The same pumpkin is 5 bucks at Walmart. Resting today with regular chores like homeschooling, cooking, and laundry.
Mum that sounds like fun!!!! On my way to a shop on Saturday, I passed a pumpkin farm. It had a lot of activities that I could see from my car.

A Look I did this week was near a farm. The farm made the news because resident zebras have been loose for a month. I didn't see any zebras, but I am routing for them!

Routing for zebras? sounds like you are planning your travels based on finding them, lol.

Absolutely nothing. Everything is work-related. Bleh. But I I felt so good last night that I attempted real food. A little too soon. *oops* For giggles, I made a list of upbeat affirmations for hydration products. I will not bother you with that bit of silliness because you are always busy and have other things to think about. grinning smiley

Telecommuting yesterday and today! My work is almost over. My laptop followed me while i did 2 loads of wash and prepped BBQ chicken in the slow cooker. Will steam string beans and bake potatoes in my Instapot. What a great productive day and I still have the evening. Hope you all are having a great day.
wales, this has been local news for over a month! The first time I heard about it was a wtf moment. Now? I'm routing for zebras!

I hope I do see them. That would be a once in a lifetime moment. Along with seeing a squirrel pee.

Explored another section of the city with our scavenger hunt book. This afternoon making chili for dinner. Tonight doing a produce run.

@HonnyBrown.. That farm I went to is in suburban Chicago (Goebbert's Pumpkin Farm) and coincidentally, the zebras escaped the zoo the very next day we went there. They were captured after a couple of hours though after creating a ruckus.

I got my nails done yesterday. The owner of the shop did my nails. She told me she was short staffed due to a COVID death in April. Turns out it was her daughter who was in her 40s. I feel so bad for her.

We were wondering about the new James Bond movie. It is almost three hours long. That is... I dunno... loonngg! Eventually, I might want to know more than that,

I had an interesting day. I had two Looks leftover from a car dealership yesterday. The cars weren't ready so dude asked me to return today. He promised an additional car for the trouble.

I went back to the dealership after my burger shop. When I went to get the keys for the 3rd car, the guys were having lunch. They invited me to join them. It smelled so GOOD, I did. The other guy used to be a chef. We talked and got to know each other.

Long story short, my contact is an author and I bought his book.

Watching Maid on Netflix. It's really good. Shows how emotional abuse doesn't sound and looks like abuse for lack of bruises but how traumatic it can be.
We finally made up our mind to sell our condo next year and buy a house. Took a long time because I didn't want the hassle of security systems, grass, and snow removal but we've had enough of living under association rules and the President Lady who thinks she is the Queen of Sheba.
Brr! Cold and windy = not cleaning a car today. Leaves would blow in faster than we could vacuum them out of the car!

Bike ride in the morning. Afternoon volunteering at our church's Sausage Supper, then having dinner there.

Brrr, chilly and windy here too. Laundry will dry.
I will dress up and go for a walk. Making a pumpkin dessert just for me. Maybe an apple crisp for Hubby. Pulling up some beets to chop and freeze.
Oh yeah, unclutter, clean and organize the whole house. LOL
Enough gigs to replace a few shifts at talking heads r someone (i.e. the croaker iz me). Most of me is still up for the October challenge of' Let's all earn a pay raise!' My voice and throat, not so much. Absolutely no house tasks until tomorrow. ! !!!!!

Groceries from Aldi, wine, carryout pizza (big sale!). Now making pot roast in slow cooker, doing laundry, finishing big clean-up of kitchen. After folding laundry I get to play Train Station on Facebook for a while, as a reward.

I did a big clean-up of the kitchen, too. Just finished folding three loads of laundry. Washed the groceries and will stock up the refrigerator. We had a mini storm in the morning and now it's sunny. Crazy weather in October. It seems we are still stuck in summer.

Wales, don't know where you got your pot roast, but on Friday, I bought an organic, grass fed, black angus chuck roast at Aldi's....it was $7.99 lb, so I got a small one for me and hubby, about 1.75 lbs. I put it in the crock pot last night about midnight with some carrots, potatoes, s&p, garlic pwdr, onion pwdr, cream of mushroom soup and about half a can of water.....had it for Sunday dinner today about 1:30....oh my word, that was THE most tenderest chuck roast we have EVER eaten!! It was delicious!!

It made it to 86 degrees here. Cold front coming through tomorrow. Thank goodness!

When Hubby was cooking dinner he broke an almost full bottle of rice vinegar. He washed everything down a couple of times and hopefully got the mess cleaned up. Thankfully rice vinegar isn't as pungent as regular white.

I got my chuck roast at Aldi, the same deal. I got a larger one because I will freeze much of the roast and gravy in packages that will each make 2 meals for me.

Getting my resistance workout with lots, and lots, and lots, and lots, and lots, and lots, and lots, and lots, and lots, and lots, of books. This is 'schlep, rearrange, sort, and generally make my world a better place' day. Think it is time to invent a new product: who else needs a long, slender cordless heating unit for a side of neck and shoulder that will remain in place while one is multitasking? This could involve a weighted blanket effect, a battery operated power system, a lighter material with stays to hold it (you remember these from hems) down, or... well... a refined version of what I discovered last night. If you promise not to laugh, I will tell you that a beanie hat smushed into place and held there (more or less and only when I did not move at all) by a zipped up fleece does a pretty good job of warming that area slightly. Without some assistance, or in the absence of complete immobility, it will wiggle around and stop working. Mind you, there are some commercial products that will suit some of the people some of the time. I don't want to spend the money for those. They are not specific enough.

S-e-a,
I think that the neck and shoulder heating pad that gets warmed in the microwave may be what you are looking for. cordless, of course; shaped and weighted to remain in place as you move about. I use one while working at computer and also moving about the house doing small chores. Available on amazon and probably other sources.

A tube sock or knee sock also works. Fill with uncooked rice, then microwave to desired temperature . I keep one in the pantry ready to go.
@Shop-et-al I got gel pads (various sizes and shapes) from Amazon. The problem with them is you have to heat them in increments of 15 secs or they pop. The sock filled with rice eventually starts smelling and then you need to replace it. I had an incident when the sock got overheated, had a hole and the rice got straight into my eyes. The only thing that works for me is the heat pad with a cord. I can put it on my pillow, lie down or sit up and it swtiches off even when I fall asleep on that after some time. Works for a bad migraine, neck pain coupled with an Excedrin.

I would so want something invented like you said, though!
We made 2 apple crisps. Six apples? We should have used 4. Delicious!
