My WFH desk was delivered today. That will be my weekend project.

Blowing and raking leaves which will continue for weeks. Making one isolated pile for dogs and their peeps to jump into, hopefully by Thanksgiving, for grins.
My HOA cut down a tree next to my deck. All of the sawdust and leaves were left behind. That will be another project.

More sorting and shredding before nap and work. Good news for money (if not for sleep): there is only one day off from work, and I will work five days next week.

Got laser irodotomy on my right eye today due to narrow angles. Not painful but those blinding, bright colors unnerved me. My eye feels scratched now. Other eye will be done early Dec. Working from home tomorrow; my boss has redeemed himself. Going to take a nap. I hope you all had a great day.
Had my breast cancer support group today, and then later on this afternoon I had my mammogram.
Heads up for puzzle fans: Just now, there are guest Jumblers. They are doing a great job, and the puzzles are as fun as ever. smiling smiley Today is all about get up early for work out and continue the game process of 'Escape Whisper Valley.' Regardless of where I am in game world, I will have to work before movies and sorting paperwork. *slithers back into the foggy game world...*

Today I am doing ALL the things I've procrastinated.
Unclutter, clean, organize the whole house. Dreaming. LOL

Cook for guests even though I don't know when or if or for how long they'll be here.
Shovel, of course. But, the yard work is now caught up until May when the snow melts.

Going to a party tonight at the house of a man who has a reputation for having a stunning model railroad display.

I haven't filled up my gas tank for over 3 weeks.

I get off work at 5:30pm. Despite gallons of coffee, I was yawning hard by 4 and in bed by 5:31pm. I unwound my brain and stayed in bed for an hour or so.

Having escaped from Whlsper Valley and unlocked unlimited bonus games, I am free to do whatever I feel like doing-- for awhile. I still have the "should" list but will probably choose three little things and clean the car before work. After work, I need my resistance workout, my movies, and early to bed. That will be enough.

After I put my desk together, I went to a hair appointment, Tax Dude, Lowes, and a wine run. Tomorrow will be Home Depot and Aldi's.

Met my boss and his family for. Brunch today. 9 people between us and a while lot of love and so many laughs. So blessed to have a relationship where we understand and respect each other. Our upcoming company Christmas party is always interesting. Stay tuned.
Have been searching for insurance information regarding the costs associated with rioting, looting, etc. Wondered about catastrophic loss, lunacy-induced price increases passed on to consumers, make the rioters and not me pay for their damages, etc. I received a vocabulary lesson and learned that the designation “riot and civil disorder event" exists and indicates anticipated costs of at least $25 million. Market Watch and other sites have consumer-friendly information. For example, "That estimate is according to Property Claim Services, an insurance industry company that monitors 'catastrophes.' The word has special meaning for insurers, applying to large-scale man-made or natural disasters that will result in claims reaching at least $25 million."

A basic common sense-ability should tell us that Nature provides enough catastrophes which are expensive and discombobulating for insurers and insureds. Why, oh why, would anyone do anything like rioting and looting and drive up insurance costs and other costs for everyone? Is it just me, or is this counterproductive? *picks up soapbox and ambles to next activity*

Bank drive-thru deposit; grocery store; deep conditioning my dry hair; fold and store a ton of clean laundry; return new smart watch that is too smart for me.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Laundry, sort more of the paperwork, dream of the day when this project will be finished forever, and work out before work.

Well, last Wednesday (5 days ago) I slipped on a leaf bag on a step out on our back deck. Good thing I was wearing shoes! Anyhow, I twisted my left foot and it hurt pretty badly for a minute or so. Then the pain let up. So I thought, I can handle this, and went and did some merch work. But later that afternoon, it was pretty sore, so I elevated it and put ice on it. Then I got a brilliant idea to cut/alter/sew an extra knee compression sleeve to fit my foot/ankle, and doing that relieved the pain about 80%!! So I thought, I'm good. But over the past few days a good deal of bruising has come out, plus there is some minor swelling along the side. Of course, the fact that I'm still doing stuff like grocery shopping, church, merch work....with my homemade ankle compression sleeve on...probably hasn't helped the matter. So I sent a request via MyChart to my doctor, along with photos of my foot, for an xray and for a recommendation for a boot/splint that will keep me mobile. He has to see my foot before he can order an xray (insurance stuff), so I'll see him tomorrow morning. But he did recommend a lace-type splint, so I'll look into that today.....while I'm out doing merch work!! (Call me stubborn!!)
We sound like we could be related :-)

Packing suitcase for two-week trip to visit family, then heading to airport mid-afternoon. Shortly after we booked our non-stop flight Southwest took it away, replacing it with a two-hour stop in Las Vegas which gets us into San Jose at 9:40 pm....if the flight is on time :-(

@KathyG Our friend recently had a terrible experience with SW. We have never flown with them. AA leaves much to be desired. Now and before their thousands of canceled flights. :-(
Early home today. Went food shopping for mostly nonperishables. Why is a 4 oz. Bottle of pure vanilla $20? Is there a vanilla issue once again? Have to go Wed. Again. Not looking forward to it. This week is a 2 day work week.
A walk around the lake first thing this morning, and then a great day at work. No nap after.

My schedule changed from two to five and then settled at three shifts .I could not decide. In a perfect world, I can sort, shred, clean windows (just in case I travel near certain gigs), and add the compromise fourth shift. Apparently, weather will be decent and we can visit mil tomorrow. In my world, who knows what will happen.

Southwest has the most flights from our area, usually the cheapest rates, and it flies into San Jose (convenient to Son #2s house).

My office chair was delivered today. I really should put it together tonight. I got a consultation on blinds for my living room. Laundry was a major feat.

Saw my dr about my sprained foot. Grade 2 sprain. He said it didn't look like any broken bones but sent me for xrays to be sure. No broken bones. Recommended a wrap splint that gives a bit more support than my homemade compression sleeve, so I got one at Walgreens. Will wear it for about 2-3 more weeks. I like it...it fits outside my sock and I can get my foot into most of my shoes.
Thawing my turkey out in cold water. Will be doing some housecleaning, ironing and baking two pies: lemon meringue and pumpkin. Tomorrow I'll be making mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, green beans cream corn, stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce (from the can).
