Had pick up for clothes, phone calls (personal), going out to get a Frat. at SB...half off Thursday. Really spent more time relaxing, laundry, straightening house, just quiet time. Mouth healing from Dentist. No news is good news.

I had apartment shops Tuesday and yesterday,so today I chose not to schedule any work. Went to the gym, came home and took a long shower, then puttered around in the kitchen. It was great.

Two jobs. Laundry. Celebrate leg improvement with very short, very gentle workout. Study for two assignments which are conveniently located south of the border and near a few fave places. Tomorrow will be an easy work day and a fun personal day. Go me.

Turned down two Burger shops thanks to my losing those nasty extra pounds when in Chicago and all the walking I did, so, no thanks to burgers. Meeting friends at SB, return at Target, people watching at the mall,
and so on......remember the old song, "I'm through with love", well, I'm through with work.

I leave for France on Saturday, September 15. My final is due by September 16. Needless to say, I want to have it submitted by September 14.

Today was studying.

Technically, I worked. Mostly, I just had a silly money-making day.

Irene, I am fairly certain that you will never retire. You know what "they" say... 'old shoppers never retire, they just [well, what do they do?]
HonnyBrown, you will be fine. It is wonderful that you get to go to France.

wales, I was in Philadelphia last weekend celebrating my Mom's birthday.

More studying today. Church online due to heavy rain. California Tortilla later, and a wine run. The rain put a "damper" in my plans for today.

I took a deep breath and formalized part of my business plan. (I was researching and discovered additional information that will help me with this.) As of this moment, I have almost enough information in rough draft format. When it is less bad, or miraculously not too bad, I can show it, discuss it, and get feedback. Don't worry. That happens elsewhere, to other hapless souls. The best part of it is where I show the pricing for jobs at various profit points. That is all due to the info in the forum. The worst part is probably the maniacal laughter as feedback, or something even worse than that...

I woke up with a bug of some kind. Only symptom is horrible stomach cramps. I hope they go away soon, because they're 'cramping' my plans for the day.

Spent most of the day at the hospital, as my husband needed 3 stents placed. Last Monday, Labor Day, he felt fatigued, but had been working outside for several hours, and it was humid, so we thought that was it. But all week he was feeling fatigued, and on Friday admitted to me that he had some "slight" pressure on his chest, but that it was nothing. Well, on Saturday, he said he still felt that, so I INSISTED we were going to get him checked out. He didn't think it was necessary, but the ER admitted him, and on Sunday he had a heart cath done. It showed major blockages in the major arteries, and POSSIBLY needing open heart bypass surgery. But the drs looked everything over and said he would be a candidate for the stents. So he had 3 implanted today, through the groin. I left him tonight about 9 pm, and he was resting pretty well. Maybe he'll come home tomorrow, we'll see. He didn't get back to his room till about 4:45, and I don't know how long they need to evaluate him before they let him go home. My husband is 77 years old, and is VERY VERY STRONG for his age!! So he didn't want to admit anything was wrong, but now is glad his wife (me!!) insisted on taking him to get checked!! I'll probably be taking at least the next 2 weeks off to stay close by hubby while he fully recovers.

BTW, I had to cancel several shops between three companies, and they couldn't have been nicer!! Hats off and "THANK YOU" to Trendsource, Confero and Market Force!!! Your understanding has been much appreciated!!

Doctor's office for yearly physical, than a busy day of shopping, including two apartment shops in rent-restricted complexes. First thing this morning I took my wedding ring off to fit my story of 'starting over' without much money after a divorce.

guysmom, hoping hubby's health is back to normal, and he will be up and around soon....the best.

I'm just chillin with my friend Flo who just spun ashore to visit.

Orlando - lightly shopping NC
guysmom, I hope he makes a full recovery!

I just spent about 2 hours installing a new printer. You would think it would be easier by now, but no. They do a whole lot of new stuff though. Or at least it's new to me. Printing to and from the cloud is kind of cool or email. I will try to nap and later today mow, weedeat and sweep the front yard. I have lots of pruning to do too. I have to get as much done as I can before Florence comes and dumps whatever rain she has left on us which will probably be substantial.
guysmom - hope your husband's recovery goes swift and well. Glad they could do the stents instead of open heart surgery. It was nice to hear the msc treated you well.
Hubby is recovering well from his three stent placements....through the groin! Poor fella...he's bruised all around there, but doing nicely. Me on the other hand??? I've been to the ER twice since hubby was in, the 2nd time they took me in for observation and did a heart cath on ME! No blockages but because of my abnormal heart rhythms and intermittent tachycardia and weird "twinges", I'm now wearing a heart monitor for 14 days. Sheesh! So we're both home, watching out for each other!! Married 30 years come next Monday!!
guysmom, when my brother and I were at home to celebrate my Mom's birthday, my Dad casually mentioned that he had stints. This was news to me and my brother, and we are a close family. We grilled him on it. Both he and my Mom said there was nothing to tell, and he was fine. I think this happened about 10 years ago.

Your husband will be in my prayers, as will you!

I've had a super busy week. At work, we had the health fair that my department put on. It took place on my 50th birthday. I had a screening and discovered that my blood pressure slightly high (the numbers were consistent for the past year). Birthday present from the universe: high blood pressure medication.

My final was due this week. I was very focused. I submitted it today. I got a B on the final and an A- in the course. I really wish I had this dedication in undergrad.

The birthday was great. Coworkers decorated my cubicle with balloons and notes, gave me a bottle of wine, and one sang an impressive "Happy Birthday" song. After work, I went to get my nails done. Dude took forever (almost 2 hours for a mani-pedi). He gave me wine, so I was patient.

France. It's happening! I was so focused on my final that I couldn't even think about the logistics of my trip (other than the mani-pedi). After I got home today, I did laundry and packed. The plan for tomorrow is to get my 10,000 steps first thing in the morning, and Lyft to the airport at 1pm for my 4pm flight. During the wait, I will read the tour package that I received a few weeks ago.

Bon voyage!

Have a great trip honny, come back telling us you met a handsome Frenchman and moving there...LOL

Guysmom and Mr. Guysmom, cut it out LOL. Seriously, get well!

That trip sounds like the time of your life Honny! Make sure that it is!

I'm still mowing and pruning. No updates here.
I am doing the two major October and November projects early. Due to unanticipated changes in work dates, I found a little time and saw an opportunity. Above all, this means more books and cuppas for me in October and November. Huzzah. Go me.
