What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

JAS, yep, that's why I do them! WaWa shops have to be completed at certain times: 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am.

When I was married, an independent grocery store had a great sale on a salad dressing that my ex loved. I bought a bunch of them. He opened them all at the same time. I returned them all.

@honny...Grounds for divorce.....I usually tire of things, buying two at a time is about all I will do. , except for pills like Vit. D3 and Melatonin which .99 store gets often, then I go hog wild sending a few to my daughter.

Long morning. Late day at work meant late finish time for extra work. I had planned oodles and scads of productive things to do. But it is too late for that. At this late hour, I have what it takes to flop, work out in the lounger, and (if awake) try a new-to-me diy facial.

Packing boxes for my post office shops, laundry, cleaning the bathrooms, dusting, and maybe I will repot some of my houseplants.
Laundry and again straightening house for whoever wants to see house. Later, return at Macy's and a quick salad at Chop Stop. Computer stuff, finding restaurant for my trip and basic stuff.

Live consciously....
Finishing up a report and then going upstairs to clean the bedroom. But I'll probably end up taking a nap instead.
That's what hubby's doing, napping. So I can't make the bed with the freshly laundered sheets that just finished in the dryer, I have to wait for him to wake up. And i just got an email from Kohl's with a $10 off offer and 30% off when I use my Kohl's, so some of the stuff I was going to do might not get done today!
@walesmaven I didn't know there was a video portion. There aren't any near me, I see them by my bf all the time, but not something I want to do while visiting. lol.

@JASFLALMT I don't think there's anything better than beers and friends on the lake. I live down the street from a lake (without a bar) and we bring a cocktail down for sunset. It's called Sunset Lake after all smiling smiley

One of our elderly cats is having health issues. Last night he was particularly needy, so i tried to get him to cuddle with me. He couldn't find a comfortable position, and while he was squirming I couldn't sleep. Consequently, I've been low on energy all day today. I managed to finish my report from yesterday's bar shop and make a produce run, but not much else.

Ahh, Kathy, I am sorry to hear that. Poor old chap. Maybe you could get him a goosedown pillow? I am serious. Something he can lay on and squish around until he is comfortable. It might make you hot, but if he is comfortable maybe he won't squirm.

Maybe the vet can give you something to help with his pain and help him sleep? We have an elderly little dog who we give medication to every night to help her.
My dishwasher just ran for it's last time 4 days ago, SEA. I opened it after it ran and noticed that there was residue on everything. I had to rewash all the dishes in it by hand. It's been an ongoing problem. I have tried running white vinegar through the cycle, it my husband checked the spray arms and filter, but nothing has been helping. I never liked this dishwasher from when we first got it (over 12 years ago). It never dried the dishes properly and I have always had to do a major pre-rinse or the dishes didn't get clean. So, we went and bought a new one Thursday, but the installer hasn't called me to set up an appointment, so still washing everything by hand for now. UGH.
Hope he gets better..my daughter lost her cat of 13 years a few months ago, very sad.

Last weekend before school starts again on Wednesday. Playdate, dinner, Becker on DVD and now, it's time for my tea.
JAS, exactly! No consideration for my grocery shopping efforts.

He had major issues with food. The more I bought, the more he ate. Me, I ration stuff out like a fat squirrel.

How bass ackwards, why would he open them all at the same time? How annoying.

I have an interview with a NASA contractor on 8/26.

The good: it's in my field of engineering, they are offering the salary I want, and it's a very comfortable commute.

The bad: it's a contractor position. The contract ends in 5-7 years.

I'll take it!

@HonnyBrown, that sounds like a pretty good deal for you! smiling smiley

Spent the day hiking at Mt. Rainier National Park with my wife...

Yes. She has had two surgeries on her two back legs. She gets around great but has pain if she runs a lot and we can't seem to keep her from doing that.

CQ, is that Lucy, the chihuahua you wrote about in the very first post of this thread?
Oh, what a beautiful Mooooooooonnnnnddddaaaayyy...

Well, the early and dark morning was lovely. It was cold, and I thought of sweaters, mittens, and leggings under jeans. Ooooohhhhhh, yeaaaahhhhhh. Love that!!!!!

I have a dermatology exam tomorrow. But mines for a lump my GP found above my right collarbone. She thinks it's a lipoma, but gotta get it checked. I have a few moles i need looked at too.
Time to remind all of our forum colleagues, friends and family: an annual derm exam is right up there with other regular screenings. I lost a much-loved shopper buddy to skin cancer about 6 years ago. She was only in her forties.

Thanks for the suggestion. Last night there were no issues, but I'll keep it in mind.

Another good idea! I'm taking the cats for their annual visit on Wednesday, so I'll see what the vet says. He already takes twice-daily thyroid medicine, so what's one more pill, right?

Thanks. Our 'boys' are litter mates. They were born in 2002, so they're now 17 years old. Our last cat lived until his early 20s.
