What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Did a bar shop and had my first ever caipirinha, which Google tells me is the national cocktail of Brazil. It was very tasty :-)
That’s my go-to drink in South Beach. Yum

What is that? It sounds very tropical.

On the way home from 2 nearby (1.5 miles) garage shops, I will drop off dry cleaning, pick up some staples at Aldi (not a shop) and get the manicure/pedicure that did not happen a couple of days ago.

The drink is similar to a margarita, but uses cachaca, which is made from fermented sugarcane juice.

Work. Sleep. I slept so long that there is only enough time left for a workout, wonderful dinner, and one other useful task. I will choose it later...

Today is a walk with the neighborhood walking group and homework. I have 3 or 4 shop sandwiches in the fridge to last a few days.

Early job, try to force myself not to complain about Windows 10, and brave the Saturday crowds. We have decided to spend the day stocking up on as much of whatever we can. So far, there are virtually none of the effective cleaners left here. We had quite a few on hand, but we want more-- just in case. So we will scout around in larger markets and see what we can see. Historically, this town is months behind in receiving some products and programs. I cynically surmise that it is the first to be raided and have products diverted for the covid19 issue. But enough of that! We need to get going!

Spring cleaning at my parent's house. Cooking/preparing stuff in advance just in case.

Stores around here have now limited the quantities people can buy - like 3 hand sanitizers per person. However, they have been out of hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes for at least a week, if not more. (That's only when I started paying attention)

Stuck in a state of indecision.... Do I pick up the shops available to me today - that are at fees a little lower than I generally like? Do I hole up and grade that stack of calculus tests that are calling my name? Do I tackle those house chores that really should be done? Do I watch a movie? Do I work out? Do I sit in my recliner and play a stupid game on my phone? I've been meaning to read a couple of books written by former students that were gifted to me- or one of several a friend from college has written.

For now.... I seem to be paralyzed by the myriad of possibilities and am drinking my morning coffee in my pajamas while alternating between reading this forum and catching up on the local COVID-19 news. I guess I'm pretending to be waiting to see if a magical bonus will be offered via email at some point this morning.

The coffee is good, though.

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
I love paralyzing states of indecision. So much to choose from, and I usually end up opting for the least productive and most useless item.

Today, and the last several mornings, I have been slowly realizing that I have come out of the shadow cast by having winter SAD. In short, instead of waking up not wanting to do ANY of the things that I know need to be done, to waking up and pleasantly contemplating what I am going to do today.

One of my housemates has had life-long summer SAD, being depressed on bright, hot, sunny days. She is so happy in winter, and on overcast days that she refers to herself as "the resident vampire." In summer, she sleeps during the day and does everything else at night.

Yes, very bad allergies. .

It turns out that "reverse" SAD has recently been recognized by medical research.

Rotating all of the staples on my kitchen shelves to make sure that I use the older things before the ones newly bought yesterday and today. Hmmm, maybe this would also be a good time to put down some shelf liner ? I wonder where/if I might have some of than.

We went. We saw. We conquered (by staying out of the beloved money-sucking bookstores, haha!) We ended up with a few items and a vow to go to outdoor events within weeks, not months. It was downright warm! So, we plan fun days and hope that travel between states will be possible.then.

kimmie, I graduate in May and finish my classes in two weeks.

My hiking partner wants to play matchmaker. No thanks!

1. Congrats! Does this degree enhance your current job, qualify your for something else, or what?

2. Now, now. Unless the hiking partner is a troglodyte or something, they might know someone who knows someone who knows someone..

Today was church and homework. The service was really good.

I finished my homework for this week, and am putting the final touches on it before I submit it. I checked my grade for last week's homework and I got an A! I'm tickled pink about that because I have been somewhat struggling with assignments like these.

I saw a gaggle (not the right term) of deer by my house this morning.

We worked so late and so long that we saw oodles of critters, including several herds of deer and antelope. I did not have my phone with me, so I could not photograph them. This made me feel like a whole gaggle of geese. Maybe tomorrow I will bring the phone...

Meanwhile, this is good month for siggy quotes by women. There are all kinds of women, and they all should be represented somewhere!

I realized in the middle of church today that I didn't feel great. The only real symptom was tiredness and lack of energy, so I came home and spent the rest of the day alternately napping and playing on the computer.

The MS will put me in a new field.

The dude my hiking partner wants to set me up with is a friend of her husband's.

*breaks out in song*
Matchmaker, matchmaker, make me a match...
*silences self for the benefit of alI who might hear that*

Early job. Grocery store to get needed things and to find out what is/is not there. Put away accumulated provisions, schedule nail appointment, and do a little extra work for the early job. Workout, contemplate two shop days versus whacking the budget, and... probably nothing else. Yawn.

I finally have some shelf paper, so will line the kitchen cabinets and rotate the stock in them.

I put a ton of stuff out on Freecycle yesterday and 90% of those items will be picked up between 11 AM and 1 PM, so I have to be here. (Small front stoop not conducive to "porch pick-up). Even more "stuff" is headed for the donation box and, eventually, for the local thrift shop that supports causes that this household supports.

When my back is tired of standing chores, I will sit here and tackle the Federal Taxes, again. Turbo Tax rocks!

The rest of the week is crammed with MS work, so today I really need to get a lot done around the house.

Today I had Day 1 of 2 of an all day training. I went in thinking it was Death by Power Point, but the day went by quickly.

Finding our new polling place and voting in our state's presidential primary. Deciding if I want to do an investment shop today or tomorrow. Figuring out something to make for dinner.

Having lunch in a bit with my BFF. She's going through some very rough chemo for colon cancer. But she is between chemos, and feeling pretty good and wants to meet for lunch, so I'm going.
Early job, errands and pantry update. Yawn.
