Enjoying the Water and Amusement Park in Wisconsin. We are so tired that we intend to go back home tomorrow instead of Thursday as intended. The hotel is giving us a credit that can be used in a couple of years.
Gorgeous day. Doing physical and metaphysical heart work. Staying in jammies which whisper "Relax, already!"

Finished two reports. Going to BoA to close 3 accounts that were opened for a shop with a very large bonus several months ago. ALL of the local BoA branches are requiring appointments no anything except teller transactions around here. Hauled trash and recycling to the curb this AM; hauling empties back when the evening cooling sets in. Figuring out where to fit all remaining June shops into the calendar while saving time/space for EOQ bonuses that may pop up later. Quick stop at Aldi on the way home from appointment.

It's my trash/ recycling day too!
Turned down subbing. Some productivity at home. Nice 15 Km cycle with the wind as I timed it to get a ride home with Hubby.
Now for more productivity.
Trip to the gym, errands, and finished the first draft of a presentation I'm giving on Saturday. It felt so good to send the document to the other presenter.

Today is all about those two additional minutes of walking, fitting in little naps here and there, and reminding myself that this condition will resolve (eventually). I also have the pleasure of more of a fun book and no more than ten little house tasks.

Finish planting about 30 little flowering plants in the pots on the deck. This garden is my view from the living room, so quite an important item. Grocery store visit that never happened yesterday. Prepping for 2 Curinos shops. Drafting ads for furnished room to rent in my home. Deep conditioning my dry hair. KP and laundry.

Hubby and I were riding bikes and having a great time. All of a sudden my bike veered too much to the right, I corrected too much to the left, and ended up on the ground. Hit my head so hard I was thankful I had a helmet on, and had an impressive scrape on my knee.

Back at home my side hurts and raising my arm makes it hurt even more. Trying to decide if the symptoms are from a bruise or something more serious. According to the website of the urgent care, all of the nearby locations have at least 15 people on the waiting list, so I would be committing multiple hours for something that might not even be worth going for.

Decisions, decisions.

Ow, KathyG!

You will make the right decision.

(But if it were me, I would rest for awhile, notice if anything feels worse or better, and work with my basics. Heat. Ice. Specific music. The teddy bear with the long floppy paws settled just here or just there when heat is wanted but the heating pad just won't go there. Just now, he is perfect and welcome for neck and shoulder. Basics.)

I ended up going to the urgent care. Was in and out of there in a little over an hour. The diagnoses was cracked ribs. Diagnosis doesn't make my side feel any better, but I can be quite the hypochondriac and now I have peace of mind that it's not more serious.

Pfffft. Last night, I made hubby drive me to Wally World just before it closed. I had hoped to be the only shopper or one of a handful throughout the store at that late hour. (Foot/leg thing is becoming expensive. I now need wraps [compression does not work in my world] and an ever-changing assortment of socks and footwear to accommodate whatever is happening each day.)

I get there, a few others arrive, and still more are milling about the place. They seemed to be having fun, but they were always blocking my travel through the store. I was already wearing flip flops, the only soled footwear that fit yesterday, and the straps were gouging me and causing blisters. I hobbled along, hoping they would not see my mismatched wraps (word to the wise: always buy the same brand unless you like odd stripes). So I ended up with a floor length dress that will cover everything but forgot the super stretchy socks that will cover wraps. Today, I expect delivery of better socks and slippers that can, in a pinch, fill in as closed footwear. I need them for my one planned gig day. If they do not arrive today, I will think of something.... Who knows when I can get to the other job, its flights of stairs, and the occasional creeps who must be tolerated instead of blasted. Blasting feels good and might accomplish some preventive good for others who would not have to deal with that later. It is also cause for dismissal. Being bade to leave the premises immediately and permanently would not feel good. But my health would be better. But I would not have a job .

So that is today's long rant. On the brighter side, all my discomforts are common for the condition and the treatment. I am not alone.

@KathyG, so sorry to hear this, and hope you heal soon!

Stopping by a Vet's office to pick up what's known as the "chill protocol" prescription for our dog. He's a wonderful, now-14 year old dog with ONE MAJOR exception....anytime anyone tries to do ANYTHING on his body, he becomes Jeckyl/Hyde!! He turns into a viscious monster!! Two and a half years ago, we took him to a different Vet, because his ears had such a bad yeast infection and he just wouldn't let us put drops or anything in his ears! We told them ahead of time that they would have to put him under anesthesia. They never mentioned any sort of "chill protocol" to us. It was a VERY BAD experience for him. We could hear him barking and barking....finally they got him under. But when he came back out into the waiting area, we could LITERALLY HEAR HIS KNEES KNOCKING!!!! Oh my!!! It broke my heart, and even to this day, when I tell someone about this, I get teary-eyed and choked up.....So, fast forward....for the past year and a half, we have been dealing with ear issues again. I'm NOT going back to that other vet. I've been using a natural supplement from a web site for pets called Ask Ariel, and it's been working pretty well for his one ear that has been having this issue....until last month! All of a sudden, his OTHER ear has now started bothering him. SO.....from reading a bunch of reviews on Next Door about this new Vet, I called yesterday, and she called me back.

I got to explain his past history, and sure enough, started crying over the phone when the "Knees knocking" part came up. She was VERY empathetic and explained the "chill protocol" prescription. She said they would definitely NOT fight with the dog, but do what they could. So....today I go there to pick up some Gabopentin and a liquid tranquilizer, and make the appt. Then I go pick up some 5 mg OTC Melatonin to use also as part of this "chill protocol". I hope it works! I've hesitated SOOO badly to take our fur-baby to the vets again, because of his last traumatic experience. I'm praying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Almost makes me cry just picturing his trauma, guysmom. Fingers crossed that the chill protocol works.

I met a lady a few weeks back who is a traveling vet, associated with a full-service clinic. I know there are farm vets who make house calls, just didn’t know there was such a thing for house pets. It’s a wonderful idea for certain needs.
Hmm. James Herriott, anyone?

I am cautiously optimistic. I have a replacement medication and hope that a new OTC will quell the spread of hives. They are even in my navel and traveling lewdly. This, of course, is tmi. But people should know. It is okay to ask for change. So this beloved dog can't ask directly, but guysmom is asking for the dog. Furbaby stories are always touching. Awww. smiling smiley

I'm in charge of the tech equipment for a fellowship that is having a hybrid (in person and on Zoom) tomorrow. Today poor Hubby had to carry everything downstairs and put it in the car for me. We will drive it to the location this evening, where hopefully someone will be there to help him carry it in.

Yeah, I went and picked it up and got the OTC Melatonin. While I was at this Vets, I had a real nice talk with the gal up front. She told me up front, "We don't fight with any dogs. It doesn't accomplish anything. If this doesn't work, we'll figure out Plan B." So nice! We're taking him June 23rd and have to give him both Gabopentin & Melatonin both the night before and morning of. In addition, the morning of, I've got a syringe of a tiny amount of liquid tranquilizer to get into his mouth. The Vet said if he won't let me squirt it in his mouth, I can put it on some sort of treat and get him to take it that way. So.....just praying till then that it all goes well!!
Fun for the day: explore the British section of Tubi. There are fewer offerings here than at Acorn and other Brit sites. However, there are some goodies! It is my pleasure to laugh my way (and otherwise be distracted) through this healing process.

Today was my niece's weddung shower. She is stunningly beautiful and will make a breathtaking bride. It was a fun and happy event. My girls were spectacular.
Such great news about the wedding events. Awww. smiling smiley

I am in the middle of a Brit cop series/not quite a soap opera... is this a bad cop or something else? We must keep tuning in to the next episodes to find out.... Fortunately, all the episodes are available at once and I can binge watch in two days.

Grocery shopping and cooking lunch for the next few days or so. I watched a documentary about the opioid crisis. It was very good.

ETA: I spent a good part of last week making adjustments to my home office. I spent all of Friday working from couch.
