Thank you for that information! I can get to the nearest Walgreens exactly one day after the dental appointment. Rats in a poke! Anyway, this odd experience has been good for The Inner Perfectionist. That one has become accustomed to a few hairs out of place and the occasional week or three weeks at a time without makeup. Now, she is learning to look like and live like one of those cute little holiday bumpkin decorations with the straw hair and missing teeth. 
Shop et al, when I broke a tooth I went to Walgreen's and found this soft dental cement for missing crowns/cavity repair. It filled in the missing part so that the sharp edges did not cut my tongue (it was a back molar and about 1/3 of it on the interior side broke off). Once you put it in place you rub the area with hot water and it hardens. There is a generous amount in the little tub so that if it doesn't last the first time you fix it, you can do it again. The second time I did the self repair it held until I was able to get to the dentist, which was about two weeks later--just try not to chew on that side so it stays put! The little tub costs about $5.
Because I feel like unprintable and the new temporary tooth repair already fell out, I am moping and sniveling and grousing. Myyynnnyyyah. The real repair happens next week. This waiting seems like forever...

I have time to do whatever I want, unless the afternoon job also is cancelled. I choose to play on this forum for a few minutes and then play computer games for as long as possible. I like the adventure games that may or may not be plausible. As long as there is something interesting in the tasks/puzzles/story-lines, this is a fun way to relax. I turn off the game sounds and listen to what I want. Today, I want classical and Christmas music-- together or separate is fine with me.
