I don't know if they have Outlander on Netflix but that is sooooo goood! I saw it on Starz. You have to start with the first season (they don't call them seasons, it's weird). And season 1 was actually broken up into 2 parts, as was season 2. Did you watch Dexter? I don't know if they have that either. That was six seasons of addiction!

I don't have Netflix.
I'm not sure any of the shows I'm watching right now (Game of Thrones, Designated Survivor, The Leftovers, Newsroom, The Handmaid's Tale) are on Netflix. If I did have Netflix I would be watching TURN, Shooter, and maybe Reign.

I really like Designated Survivor. Has it been picked up for another season?

The Capital gets blown up during the State of the Union. The DS is the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development played by Kiefer Sutherland.

Oh nooooooo. Not Keifer. I used to watch 24. It was "sweetheart" everything. We used to mock Keifer relentlessly.
He's really good in this. It is interesting to see he and his family adjust to the Presidency while trying to rebuild the government. All while the FBI and his SS are trying to find out who was behind the bombing. His character is somewhat soft spoken and was surprisingly apolitical prior to becoming leader of the free world. He starts somewhat naive and has to learn quickly.

I think they let him have too much freedom with his role in 24 and let him adlib too much. Sounds like they have a handle on it now and he's forced to stay on script. I'll give it a shot, thanks!

Newsroom, was that a Jeff Daniels thing? Loved that.

Yes. I think this will be my third trip throught it. So great though. Aaron Sorkin is such an amazing writer.

Thanks everyone! Keep the recommendations coming.

I'll start with Designated Survivor. I watched The Leftovers and Games of Thrones. I couldn't get into Newsroom or Dexter.

You didn't try Outlander? Oh it's wonderful. It's romantic, swashbuckling, and intelligent. My husband even liked it.

I don't think we can be friends.

Based on the number of times you say that, you are running out. There is a finite number of people willing to put up with you.

Sorry because this is not NetFlix. Tonight I am watching the best ever classic Star Trek episode, The Trouble with Tribbles.

A VERY small number of people.

I was pissed because Newsroom only lasted two seasons. Am I wrong, I hope I am wrong, did they end up doing more, it was good...

Honny, you need to give it more of a go than just one episode.

it actually lasted 3 season, it's currently on Amazon Prime, and WAAAGGGHHH no more. I agree it was excellent, but then I really like Jeff Bridges.
Season 3 was short though. Only 6 episodes. Made through season 2 yesterday!

Honny I can't believe you didn't like Dexter. What are you, a maroon? Oh wait--that's griff.
I am a maroon! And I couldn't get into Dexter either.
