Selling online

I have some work clothes and shoes that I will no longer need and I want to sell online. Has anyone had any luck with online selling? Any tips or information anyone can give me? The best site or the one to stay away from? Or what about taking them to a consignment shop? Thank you.

I started another thread..."BUY and SELL" and sold something on Facebook, a buy and sell site in my town.
I was paid overnight (debit), split shipping costs and it worked out perfect.

Live consciously....
In my experience, it depends on what kind of work clothes. I've done well selling off my work clothes on eBay. You want to refrain from selling inexpensive items one at a time because your profits will be gobbled up by fees + shipping. (sell $40 blazer, instead of a $3 top by itself) For play clothes, FB works well. Try a couple out....depends on where you are, too.
Thank you folks. What I am trying to sell are dresses and pants that I wore to work. I also need to sell all my purple and red clothes and purses and shoes that I had when I belonged to the Red Hat Society. For those that don't know what that is it is a social organization for women over 50.Purple and red are the colors of the clothes, hats and shoes. E-bay has a place for Red Hat items. The prices looked pretty low. I realize that I will not get what I paid for the item. Maybe half price would work. I am in WA state. Thank you.
It always looks like those women are having so much fun!

I see ppl on FB sell BAGS of clothes for a set price, or maybe you can trade locally for something you'd like to have? Play around with the less expensive items & work your way up to your more valuable pieces.
