What are you listening to lately?

I know it's been out awhile, but can't seem to get enough of Darius Rucker

I love listening to my Google Home Mini. I just ask it to play 'Top 70's hits' or 'Soft Christmas Music' and it plays various artists. I like hearing different things. Best of all, it's free and I can leave it on all day.
Classic country and classic rock are my faves. I like some of the new stuff as well.
The Seekers, Jay and the Americans (Jay #2, not Jay #3), Peggy March,Shelley Fabares (Johnny Angel), Paul & Paula

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
A lot of Brandi Carlile, Jason Isbell, Valerie June. Also some bands that'll be at a music festival I'm going to next month (Phosphorescent, Head & Heart, Hayes Carl).

Thanks, bgriff. Would not have found Hayes Carll on my own. Reminds me of Flock of Seagulls, only country.

You picked the "worst" one on the list lol.

In this moment, I am listening to a sermon. Later, I will listen to something else.

Curious as to whom. My favorite at the moment is Voddie Baucham [www.youtube.com]

You took the words right off my fingertips.

My husband whistles Christmas songs...in March, or odd months, rarely during the actual Christmas season, LOL.

I've always referred to them as "Flock of Idiots" and it isn't just because of the really, really bad hairstyles.
The music sucked, too.

And Hayes Carll is as opposite of them as you could possibly be.

I've been listening to a lot of the music of my teens to try to keep connected. Some is okay. Been listening to rap because my 17 year old son started listening to it and I want to know what he's listening to (stuff that I wish he wouldn't, actually, but he's almost 18...next week...)
Today, I am listening to a classical station. It was opera day, and there was a variety of other relevant music and commentary.

Sometimes, we listen to oldies. Occasionally, it is good for alertness to listen to something other than the usual. If the music is old enough, we fogies can croak along and have a disjointed convo about oldies trivia. grinning smiley

On Saturday the community radio station I listen to segues from singer/songwriter to bluegrass to classical country to blues/soul to ska. I caught a little bit of every show.

Happiness is not a goal; it is a by-product. Eleanor Roosevelt
Sitting in SB with friends, and the tape on is "The very thought of you" and all my favorite oldies....smiling smiley

Live consciously....
I confess that I'd not heard that one, Irene. Looked it up. Very soothing. [www.youtube.com]

Citizen Cope

Michael Buble, Maroon Five, Lady Gaga's theme for the movie "A Star is born", which I loved.

I'm listening to a YT mix of Citizen Cope music. I discovered a gem from his first album. I've been listening to it all day.

I've been on a Decemberists kick lately. One of my 2 or 3 favorite bands of all time.
