New Years Resolutions

Here we are almost into the new year...let's hear your New Year Resolutions.
I'd like to hear from MSC's telling us they plan to pay more in the coming year!

I am going to lose this 8 pd. gain and get down to my original size 6. I hope to make more $$ and will start Jan 9th, as I accepted an offer to work in merchandising (2 miles from home) every Sat. for four hours at $14.00 per hour undefinitely. I'll be smarter than I am in taking low paying jobs where driving is involved. Last but not least, find a companion to see now and then, as long as he has his own address....yes, I believe in seperate houses. I forgive all that caused me pain in the past......and look to make my life happier and less complicated.

I will attempt to find my old sense of humor.

Live consciously....

I started my new years resolution early. I was off work for 2 weeks because of surgery and When I started back, I resolved to start wearing makeup to work every day.
As for mystery shopping, I am pretty happy with how 2010 worked out for me, so I don't think I'll be changing anything. I had a good year and I'm looking forward to the same in 2011.
Okay. Here goes:

1. I will try to spend more time on the treadmill without eating a Krispy Kreme donut.

2. I will make an effort to stop loosing my keys, the remote and cell phone on a regular basis.

3. I will try to refrain from using four-letter words when my computer crashes.

4. I will try to expand my video game playing beyond just shooting Nazis and bombing small villages.

5. I will try not to forget birthdays, Valentine's day and taking out the garbage.

6. I will try to remember to put the toilet seat down.

7. I will stop looking at boobs.

8. I will start buying lottery tickets at luckier stores.

9. I will try to find better excuses for asking my boss for a day off.

10. I will learn to keep a safer distance when driving behind a police car.

I will consider success if I accomplish all but number 7.
I solved my remote problem. Bought one @ Kmart that is about 5" x 8". Its harder for the couch to swallow that one...winking smiley

Only two resolutions for me.

1. I resolve not to eat broccoli in 2011.

2. I resolve to work less and play more golf next year.

The secret is to not make these too, hard to keep.

I figure if I do 2 out of 4, I'm ahead of the game...my last two are coming true, and we still have a week to go.

I resolve to smite my brother in law hard up alongside the head if he mistreats his elderly mother EVER again in this lifetime.

I also resolve to not complain when having to sweep up a friend's lost sequins.

Let's see.

I want to save more than I spend when shopping, which means limiting required purchases to the reimbursement amount and saving the fee.

Burn more calories and quit stockpiling them.

Find my funny bone. My frown lines are deepening.

Know when to say to heck with it.

Happy 2011 :-)
Since gas is currently projected to be $3.50 per gallon by mid year and $4.00 per gallon by this time next year, I am very likely to be still more cautious about what I take an when.

Already $3.43 per gallon here, only a few cents cheaper on the indian reservation nearby. Another resolution is to take a hard look at whether I should bother continuing with MS'ing in view of the cutbacks and diminished number of shops here.

Yes, I certainly have not set monthly $ goals for next year. I am profitable for 2010 but if the fees continue their annual trend of decline while prices continue to escalate, there comes a point of no return. I noted the other day that systematically my grocery shops used to reimburse for 6-7 items and now I am hard pressed to get 4 for the same $ reimbursement. So in reality the shop just gets to be worth less and less while the cost of performing them goes higher and higher.
Gas is now 3.23 and rising. I too am cutting back my mileage, have to see what happens in 2011. Really re-thinking jobs...not doing hotels or putting out large reimbursements....was hired permanent part-time merchandising every Sat. 3 miles from my house starting next week, and paid every two weeks.

Happy New Years!!!

I will spend less time on my computer - hopefully, the time I spend will be more productive, though - and more time working on my house, including cleaning (hate, hate!), and my creative craft projects. I have already started - just made 2 dozen newborn size fitted cloth diapers for the new grandbaby. But babies grow so fast she'll need new ones in a month! I'll be busy.....
congrats on the grandbaby austin... day 3 of the diet...

I am going to keep on keeping on with the work. But, I resolve to do less for more $. I resolve to ignore stupid emails saying things like "fun" or "easy".

I resolve to only work for companies that treat me right, like my fav one, which just last month started awarding 25+ jobs per month to their best shoppers, asking first, where will you go, and what will you not do in the area you will shop. Works GREAT for me, got 25+ shops for both Dec. and Jan, and no need go out of my comfort zone of 5 miles from home, maximum.

I resolve to consider work from on time but slow payers only for things that enhance my life or are things I need to do ayway, like oil changes and grocery stores.

I resolve that this is the LAST year I will chase payments from any company, as I will be WAY more choosey about accepting an assignment from any company.
