I will see if they have it on Pandora tonight when I am cooking dinner. I recently found an old band from the 70s I had never heard of called "Chicken Shack". I don't know how I had never heard of them before.
If bgriffin reads this thread he will probably chime in. Chances are (the Waybacks) is the kind of band he has seen several times.
I've never heard of Chicken Shack before. Hmmmm. I will have to search out their music also. I'm supposed to be doing my homework right now. lol. Maybe a latte will help me concentrate.

I think we are going to find a sunny patio for dinner and drinks later. It's nice out, about 75 and sunny. Loving this fall weather. Next week it's going to be in high 80s, might have to go swimming at my stepdaughter's house.
So no Pandora and cooking tonight, but I will check out the Wayback's tomorrow.
The only Wayback I am familiar with is the one from the Bullwinkle show that had Peabody and Sherman, who traveled back in time in their Wayback machine!!

We 'have' a Wayback machine. Old work supplies are aimed into the black hole behind us aka the back seat (we work in the middle of the night). "Theeeeeeeere's one for the Wayback Machine. Wheeeee!" What. If you cannot find something fun in work, you should find another job.

Wayback means 'way in the back of our yard'. We have a 60'X350' lot on a natural estuary, and the house sits at the front of the lot. So the 'wayback' is the back section with the deck and dock. Cause it's 'way back there'. :~))
I liked Volition. It died when we lost the ability to post anonymously, and certain schedulers started retaliating for comments.

I used to like volition, but when Ray refused to deactivate me so that I could prevent a stalker from sending me emails, I had to have a friend who was a moderator step in on my behalf.
So. I did not know what used to be. I do not know what is supposed to be. This is such bliss!

SEA...closing them down would be my choice, but I guess that's happened....not user friendly.

Just tried going on the Volition job board and did not realize this site is now gone....so what happened to "V GOD Ray" ??????

It's very simple. Ray saw volition was no longer worth it anymore (hasn't been for at least 5-7 years) and either sold or is renting the domain volition.com to a cancer research company who uses "volition" as a brand name.
But the pint is, volition is gone. Regardless of what you think about Ray or the site, quite frankly, it wasn't really worth even visiting that board in the last 5-7 years. There was only maybe 5 active users left.

Reminds me of a funny thing that happened to me years ago.
When I was in my 20s, I was sitting at a bar with some friends and this fellow with a major Southern drawl came up and asked if he could buy me a drink. I said, "Sure, why not." He bought me a drink, then sat down and started talking to us. I asked him where he was from, and he said, "Way 'cross Georgia." I said, "How far across?" He said, "No, it's Way 'cross." I said, "Yeah, but how many miles across?" His face started turning red and he shouted at me, "WAYCROSS IS THE NAME OF THE TOWN!!!" My friends and I just busted up laughing. He got up and left.

Years ago my DH and I wintered in AZ. While we were there, my dtr tells me a friend from where she worked moved to Surprize AZ. I of course thought she was saying "Surprize! (she moved to) AZ" turns out there is a town named Surprize AZ.
