IRS Stimulus Site Open

The IRS site to check on your stimulus payment and update direct deposit information is now live at:

I'm not entirely sure it is working correctly, it said it was unable to verify eligibility for either me or my Mom.

My kids both received their payments today, but I did not and I get the same message on the IRS site.
I got the same message. I did a search and apparently many others are getting it too even though they file taxes regularly. I also saw that if you try too many times, it locks you out for 24 hours.
I got mine today, a lot of people I know in the regular job world got theirs earlier this week.

Do you have regular employment too or are you entirely self employed? Curious because it seems that anyone "nonstandard" is getting the message but people with regular employment are getting paid.

Received my stimulus check for my husband and I today. Also got my Federal Tax return, deposited into my account. I filed taxes early in late March. We are on Social Security.

Hubby and I are on Soc Sec as well. Our income is low enough that we really don't have to file, but we do anyway, out of habit. So I tried this site a while ago and have a couple of questions. First off, since hubby and I are supposed to have our stimulus payments deposited directly into our bank accounts since we also receive our monthly social security checks, then WHY did it tell us that we are eligible but that it needs our banking info??? So....first glitch. Secondly, when you get into the part where you have to put in your banking info, you have to state if you got a refund or if you made a payment. What if you got NEITHER??? There is NO option to say "no". So I had to choose "refund" and for amount, put in "0", then it went through. And then it crashed, haha!! So.........I'm not sure it's working correctly, either. And in other news articles, it says that Senior Citizens who did not HAVE to file (as in my situation) should get their monies next week sometime. So, we'll see, since, technically, we didn't HAVE to file.
Threads were combined.

My son received his but he works a regular job. I am on social security and have not heard anything yet.
Same here. They can't verify my eligibility. They verify it easily enough when I owe them. By the way, 2020 estimated tax due today, unless they extended that too.

Meanwhile, you can send them this:

The latest I heard was that SS recipients will be getting the stimulus the first week of May.
terira, not doubting you at all, but would love to know the source of that. hoping for more details as things develop.

Did snyone know that the paper checks will be a little later because the president wanted to put his name on them? Not being political, just sayin'.
Did you know when they sent out checks under Bush he wanted to put on the check that they were returning our money to us and it was deemed too political for a nonpartisan government agency. My how things have changed.

I just copied and then pasted into a browser the words that matter and it took me to a list of several different sites.

Here is one site.

This is now posted on the Get My Payment IRS link: Note: If you are an SSA or RRB Form 1099 recipient or SSI or VA benefit recipient, your information is not yet available in this application.
And, according to a recent Washington Post story, it is not going to get into that site for a long enough time that those folks (including me) will already have gotten their payments. Those payments are now "projected" to happen in early May.

From people I know, those who filed straight W-2 income can get on the site. Those who filed as self-employed cannot, including me who filed my 2018 return last year. What is even more messed up is people who filed through a tax preparer such as HR Block or even a site such as TurboTax that took the tax prep/software fees/refund loan advances out of the refund. The direct deposit information on file with the IRS is that of HR Block or TurboTax, etc., and not that of the customer, even if they used direct deposit. Another thing I read if that if you made a payment on your return using a bank account, the IRS will not use that number. Instead, it might use the last bank account on record used for receiving a refund. If the account is closed, it will revert to a paper check. If the account is not even yours, maybe belongs to a tax prep place or former spouse from years ago, you are on your own in chasing down the money.
Also, if you are one of 5 million Americans who filed neither owing a payment nor getting a refund, you will receive a "Technical Difficulties" message, because the IRS did not figure out a way to put those people into the app!! Sheesh! If it isn't fixed soon, folks like my son and his family will have to wait for a paper check. Ouch!!
