Hgtv

I discovered antenna channels when I got a new TV for my bedroom. I checked it out and watched one of the channels. It definitely wasn't HD.

When I lived in LA, every year my friends and I would volunteer at Habitat for Humanity. The last year we did it, we realized we were rehabbing a house (in a very bad neighborhood) that none of us could afford.

There is a new 'antenna' channel, I think owned by CBS, called Dabl. They have a couple of interior designer shows out of Canada that are amusing. Frequently the shows somewhat feel like 'entitled princess' wants to update a perfectly functional and attractive space that is only a decade or so old. I was delighted when a kitchen that just 'didn't suit' was being removed by a Habitat for Humanity team to be used in one of their constructions or sold in their Re-Store shops.

I watched Rock the Block on demand to see the "new" episodes that are on now were actually from 2019.
I hope a different team wins next Monday then last week. It is too boring when the same team wins all the time. I was sooo happy when David and Tiffany won! smiling smiley Now I want Brian and MIka to win.
I've got this season recording, but haven't watched yet. Actually, when I saw that Allison was on again this year, I almost didn't set it to record. May not even bother.
I think they have to bring back the former year winner, but I am not thrilled with Allison. For various reasons I really like all of the other contestants of this year, so found it worth watching. I really thought that David's team should have won the first round this year. Not happy with the judge for that round, at all.

Oh, I do hope you watch it. It is interesting and full of surprises.
I thought it was on last night ... turned on on demand but it is on April 5. I rewatched final decision from last year cuz I forgot who won!!!!
I guess it wasn't loaded yet on on demand...I just watched March 29 episode and at least Allison and MIke did not win!!!!! smiling smiley
Allison, for all her chest beating, didn’t win last year. She maintained throughout the competition that it was between her and Leanne. They came in third and fourth.

I went to visit mom so did not watch finale. I am home and am soooooooooo happy the team won!!!!! smiling smiley
.watched it and was surprised that the winners won. I thought that it was stacked against them, but apparently, the appraised value was the deciding factor and they had added a lot of liveable space, extra bedrooms, extra bathrooms, etc

From the very beginning it was announced that the final, sole, deciding factor would be appraised value. The winners said, in every episode, that that was their goal: appraisal value. Professionally, they had the best background to know just what would most influence appraised value. So, no surprise to real estate professionals when they won. The winning teams for each episode were actually selected based of that episode's judge's design preferences, not appraised value. That was mentioned, in passing, pretty much only when a design decision was clearly bad for the appraised value, or at least in the opinion of the judge for THAT episode.
