aunt (And you have to pronounce it the way I do--LOL--not like you pronounce the insect. He, he.)

Izzy, I was trying for several minutes to think of the word "polyglot" to answer Billie's "multilingual", and my mind just wouldn't work. I'm glad you answered with it.

Mo, you're staying up too late!
brother

Sandra, I have to think about it. Thank you.

Mo--

polyglot -- uncle? How many languages does he speak?

feminine
Sneakers this is a case of "slower ISP" Mo- most likely didn't catch Uncle. Either that or what's going on with me on this site is the same for MO-

For some odd reason this site is moving slow for me. Maybe someone needs to do some site clean up.

Senorita
I'm not familiar with that association, Mo.

Mexico
"cry uncle" means to "back down" Like if your in an argument or fight you can "cry uncle" It can also mean "I'm done" Or "I don't understand" In other words you throw down your gun and surrender. LOL!!

Aztec

Oh, I understand "uncle", but I didn't recognize it. You're ahead of me with the current word and I don't have the Oxford version of the dictionary. I'm not even going to try to look that one up.

lexicon
I changed the word. There are two words that have the same meaning. One is Jewish and the other is English. I changed it to the English word.
There have been many apocalyptic events through out history. The Incas, Aztecs and many other Indian tribes have had apocalyptic events. The events foretold in Revelations have been a constant throughout World History. There are peoples right now at this moment having apocalyptic events.

Translation
And "Revelation" wasn't the only revelation of apocalyptic event among early Christians. It is just the book that made it to the Christian canon.

Would you write that word again, Billie, so I can know the Jewish (Hebrew?) word?

transliteration
Sandra Sue: apocoloptic as translated from Hebrew. I've heard the word several times and finally asked a Jewish friend how it was spelled. I saw Mel Gibson's movie Apocalyptic. If you haven't seen it I highly recommend. Gives you a fantastic look at the events that have happened since time began. Be prepared it is "frightening and very intense".
