Ida?

I was surprised to see that there was not a thread on this. Anyone affected? From what I've seen on the "News" it started in the south and caused damage all the way to NYC. Deets? Experiences? Inside scoop? Hearsay? Anything?

It was a disappointment here in Maryland. It was like any other angry rain. My plants liked it.

Major flooding in NJ. My street looked like a river. Cars were abandoned all over the place. Sadly, several people got swept away and drowned. Water in basement, that's all for us. I postponed all my shops for the next day. Did them today and some roads and bridges were still blocked off. A lot of damage up here.

I saw that on the news. I thought it was a sighting. I didn't realize the funnel touched down.

NJ had more deaths due to Hurricane Ida than any other state. The death toll is at 25 with more people still missing (swept away in the floods). Several people died in their cars, unable to escape the water. There was a long path EF 4 (the first-ever in NJ; NJ has only had three EF 3 tornadoes, ever) in the southwest corner that stopped about 5 air miles from my home. I was out shopping closer to the EF 2 tornado area south of Trenton. I kept getting tornado warnings on my phone and headed for home. It was an experience. I had several phone shops to do in North Jersey. They were closed on Thursday (no surprise), and I had to adjust my scenario on Friday so as to sound local without actually knowing street-by-street conditions.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
