Not looking a gift horse in the mouth

But, whoa! Someone, whom I thought of as just a scammy. girlfriend, sent money to hubby.for groceries. Hmm. He is now getting good proteins, other basics, and ingredients for beef stroganoff. The very lean moose meat of prince's recipe was far out of reach. I will add undetectable fiber to my dish with its higher fat content.

Grateful beyond my ability to express it! Lifted the person and situation in prayer; I might have misjudged some of this.

Who said so? Why did they say it?!

I hope that doesn't encourage him to keep sending money to scammers.
We only have Moose when family who hunt share some. Hubby doesn't hunt any more.

I think he might have shared my card information with scammers. This would explain a lot of the fraudulent charge attempts. I relocated my cards and hope he will never find them. Some cards were replaced for me. He is determined to use my accounts! It is bizarre. Perhaps some odd medical condition fuels this strange behavior. His health provider might be persuaded to send him for testing?

Already heard back from provider. They said it is best to make an appointment for hubby to see a neurologist, who can find out what might be behind hubby's behavior.

@SEA, that's not enough!!!!! Ask the bank(s)/card issuer(s) HOW TO PUT FREEZES on your card(s) so ONLY you can use them. Also ask them to show you how to get texts and emails when a card has a charge over a certain amount.
For example, we receive such notices on our cards. When my husband recently joined AMAC and paid with a credit card, even though it was only $16.00, we IMMEDIATELY got the notice via text AND email!! Please look into doing this with your cards!!! As well as freezing them!!!
There's NO GUARANTEE that he won't find them again at some point!!

Did that.

Now he balks at the idea of going to neurology. Why? Because "I" want him to go. Never mind that his own health provider wants him to go. Too many facts cannot be contained at one time. ?

There are ways around this. Might need a lawyer skilled in elder issues. Wish me luck in finding one, if the old mule really will not go as his own health provider wants him to do.

dial 211 for a list of local elder care and free legal resources if in the usa. it may be good to stage an intervention with other people that he knows and trusts. perhaps the absolute embaressment of making his issues public among others will make him wise up. the only other option is civil or criminal charges. the bible is full of people that had to crash and burn in order to make a change.

you can get some prepaid visa/mastercards and load them with various small amounts to leave around the house so he doesnt suspect you are hiding the cards. when he uses them and they get declined you can have a talk about your finances.
