Throughout history, strategies like this one << increased social stratification>>
have tended to bring on revolutions.
The French and the Russians never saw it coming.
It's a bit different now since people would actually have to look up from their screens to make a plan.
We'll see. If policy doesn't do it, AI, likely will.
Either way? A change gonna come.

And why don't we have a love emoji here!

What about the total manipulation of the stock market? I take no pride in saying that when he messaged on TS "It's a good time to buy" I did so and profited greatly from it. I don't get why all the poor idiots who voted for him don't get it, his "tax cuts" are not designed to benefit them, only the wealthy really profit from them.

I and many of my friends and family members were once Republicans. That changed shortly before 2016 and though I am not exactly a Democrat, I voted as one in an attempt to shut him down. Yeah, Biden wasn't a dream president but he did a few good things. What also floors me is how people don't see that each administration inherits some of the good or bad the previous administration did. A lot of the good things that Biden did the orange baby gets to take credit for. And I feel really bad for the next administration(s) when they have to deal with the fallout for all of the additional deficits we will be facing. Like trillions of dollars more in debt. UGH.

I was a lifelong republican. Then President Obama came along, and I saw the party I had aligned myself with in a completely different light. I am no longer affiliated with any political party. And I've been doing my best to vote for policies, not just talking points, that will honestly help people, and not actively hurt them since. And then I moved to AL, where if you're not a registered republican you don't get to vote unless it's in a general election.
He’s going to appeal the decision which will continue to create damage and uncertainty in the markets. Mexico and the UA will bump up their trade and will no longer need us or be interested in dealing with the retaliatory actions of an unstable wannabe dictator. The revenue that was supposed to come from the tariffs was supposed to pay for the big bloated project 25 bill for the rich. The republicans will pass it anyway. Let’s see if he defies the courts again with this and if the dems will finally take some action. They can’t sanction TACO in some way to break up this embarrassing cluster F?

Musk would have been much better off giving all of the money he lost to the gov’t instead. He probably lost as much as he cut from government agencies, and will continue to lose. Each of his businesses will go belly up one by one like a domino effect. He grossly underestimated the power of the public and got exactly what he deserved.
Trump Tariffs are BACK! Trade Judges STAYED!

Who's tired of WINNING? Not me!

Gotta LOVE the old tired DEMs without a leader or any coherent policy...ROFL!
meanwhile, mav calls the game play by play....and the rest look at the bigger picture coming.

The Court of Appeals allowed the president to *temporarily* continue collecting the tariffs under the emergency powers law while he appeals the trade court’s decision.

Come back and report once the high courts rule.

Then we can have a good one.
every time i unhide the mavs posts, im reminded why i blocked them in the first place.

there isn’t supposed to be winning or losing in government, its not a game; it’s supposed to be boring and predictable. peoples livelihoods hang in the balance of this dumb tariff trade war and the only thing some people care about is bragging about their political party affiliations.

Mavi1 reminds me of somebody…

“Every day is just filled with just wins. All we do is put wins in the record books. We win so radically in our underwear before our first cup of coffee, it's scary. People say it's lonely at the top, but I sure like the view.”
- Charlie Sheen -
"what exactly are you winning?"

Winning > Success...

- Hard work doesn’t guarantee success — but without it, you're guaranteed failure.
- Talent is overrated — consistency is what actually makes people unstoppable.
- You’ll lose more friends while climbing up than while falling down.
- Success is lonely — because most people don’t want to grow with you, they just want your results.
- Discipline > Motivation — because motivation won’t show up on bad days.
- You’ll fail more times than you’ll succeed — but the wins are what they'll remember.
- People will mock your efforts, then ask how you did it when you win.
- The ones who doubted you first will act like they believed in you all along.
- Overthinking kills more dreams than failure ever will.
- You won’t always be the smartest — but you can always be the most relentless.
- If you wait for the “right time,” you’ll die waiting. Start messy, fix along the way.
- Success is expensive — it’ll cost you sleep, peace, comfort, and sometimes even people.

Again, I ask...Who's tired of WINNING? Not me!

It's pretty much a waste of time attempting to engage with a mindset that's a mile wide but only a half inch deep. It often results from picking a favorite media outlet, then just parroting back whatever they say without question or critical thinking.
For some, they treat politics the way they engage their sports teams. Do or die no matter how bad.

So what do you want to hear about winning? Actual numbers?

You want to hear that our investments returned $353K so far this year?

See? You really wanted to hear about losing. Now are you happy? No, some people will never be happy without a winning attitude.
Like the lives lost on january 6th because that pathetic loser thug Tdump couldn't handle losing the election. He's still blathering about the rigged election because his fragile mentality couldn't handle the reality that he lost. He was ready to have his followers hang Mike Pence. What an evil and diabolical loser.

And it's the American people who will be losing for decades to come due to his failure to put together structured and coherent policies, long after that misogynist megalomaniac is gone, future generations will be suffering due to the bungling mismanagement of Trump and his administration. He should be in prison, not the White House.

P.S. I'm not affiliated with any party. I'm an independent and use my own mind. Hoping for the best for America. Not a proud American right now. I'm extremely disappointed with our government and the lack of care, for what is best for our future. This is a major concern for Americans...health insurance. 47% of Americans earn less then $75,000 a year. Give all those people Medicaid and charge them $25 a month for coverage. That is over a trillion dollars a year (1,250,000,000 est.) Everyone is not worried about coverage and the monthly payments help pay for the cost. This is just an example for actually caring about your citizens. There would be so much less stress. My son was born a type 1 diabetic. He pays almost $300 a month, to basically stay alive (with insurance).

During the Biden term, the S&P 500 rose 55%, the Dow Jones rose 39% and the Nasdaq rose 46%. Impressive.

So, what's your point? or maybe your point is that nothing else matters....so sorry for you, a winning attitude is more than money....as if that even needs to be said out loud, omg, doomed.

We'll assume mav donated all his earnings from the Biden term, not gonna hang onto that dirty liberal money. HAHA!
just to finalize my comment on healthcare, IT SHOULD NOT BE A BUSINESS FOR PROFIT ! Everyone needs it !!
You can google around for it, if interested - but there are many recent reports this week of US doctors applying for a medical license in Canada....IIRC, it's gone up something like 700% in the past few months.

and I believe there are already doctor shortages in parts of the US.

good grief.
Well, well, well...looks like our moderator applied some "tariffs" to those online bullies with forked tongues.

You keep telling yourself that. I'd laugh if the reality wasn't so sad. I'll try to feel sorry for you when you figure out the truth someday. Denial (De Nile) is a very long river.

Edited to add that you know who is not winning? Farmers and ranchers, many of whom voted for Tdump (typo on purpose). China is now buying their beef from Australia and their soybeans from Brazil and other S.A. countries. The tarrifs are hurting hardworking Americans more than anyone else. I am fortunate to be rather insulated due to investments over the years, but many are not.
