I'm thinking of moving my shops and just staying home. There is a protest in my city, not far from my home.

Nothing to cancel.. I've been idle for nearly a week.. And I probably won't do much until after Sunday. My son went out, I'm sure it's either BPs because he has a payment coming up, or he's out collecting fast food QSR shops, or dashing.

Per my bi-weekly norm I went fishing. Had no idea what no king day was. Turns out I didn't need to know. Cool.

I picked up 3 highly bonused gas stations the opposite direction of the no king march

I was slated to do a no-fee fast casual shop for a regional chain of fancy bakeries, which I pick up when they're near a parking location I'm already going to. The report takes five minutes and it's a nice way to get a $30 brunch plus a bakery treat to take home while I'm waiting out the required parking time. They fly off the board as soon as they are added.

I realized that the one I had schedule for today was not just adjacent to the No King's March but also right on the route of the Pride Parade in our major city! Even if took public transit it would probably be the location's busiest day of the year. I wrote to the CX Group scheduler and they happily rescheduled it to next week.

Well yes I didn't schedule shops for today. As one of my favourite signs proclaimed "
It's easier to protest than hide someone in the attic."

No cancelling here. Just watching a military parade go by while pondering the existing big, beautiful laws being enforced. It's peaceful actually.

Unless one is in a city with a planned protest there should not be a problem.

Even then, as long as the area in question is avoided there, no problemo.

Of course there's always the potential issue of an active shooter involved, as happened here yesterday...

Looks like Washington DC would have been an OK place to shop yesterday, as long as you avoided the tanks.

Ha...... pretty much as many soldiers as it was spectators.... No adjustments here..... Streets were actually pretty deserted....meanwhile 80,000 VA jobs are on the chopping block.

Duh...I do not work on weekends anyway unless it's big bucks! The population here is over a million, and yes, there were protests here. I avoided the downtown and likely areas though.

President Bone Spurs supposedly is celebrating the 250th year of the army, but you cant find anyone in the trump family tree serving any of those years. In my family every generation has served, one was killed in battle. Grandfather fought in France in WWI. None of the presidents since Bush Sr have served in the military (Clinton, Bush Jr, Obama, Biden, Trump). Bush SR was the last US president we had to have served.

Barging in to comment on the snide military service references. Could this be a good thing? There is no military or martial law here. Remember what happened recently in South Korea? And I noticed that the no king here protests occured near the date of the anti monarchy protests in the UK. Welllll. I still have King Jesus, the same yesterday, today, and forever. Many "Activist" have King Jesus too.,, in their heart and not just with their lips.....Sheesh...What are you "just sayin?" The King Jesus I know was quite the "activist" too. He wasn't crucified for going along with the program....

My family is also military, but my grandson was rejected due to having eczema. My sister has bone spurs- very painful, and surgery doesn't always work.

I love our President. He has a supernatural energy for someone his age. He loves his country and wants to make life better for everyone. Not everyone is meant to go into the military. God (stated in Bible) places certain people in other positions, and President Trump is exactly where he should be. He strong and he's overcome much. He could be very nicely retired right now, but God chose him to be our president. Yes, he can be abrasive, but Mel Gibson was right to say that "Daddy" is finally home.

In another, non-religious context, much information is available regarding skills sets. It is neither necessary nor advisable for everyone to do the same thing. That scenario would result in both overages and gaps. That wasteful and inadequate outcome would be most unfortunate! Fortunately, there is room in our huge world for all kinds of people to bring their particular strengths to work and to life in general. Instead of protesting overmuch, we might be respectful, cooperative, or just stay out of the way... such as when I now scurry away from this thread...
