Reading (Listening to) The Certainty Illusion by Timothy Caulfield. Quite interesting.

Also still reading Moby Dick. Can't seem to get through!

I loved Mobi Dick when I was a teenager.. but I haven't tried to read it again since then. But I've read everything by JRR Tolkien at least twice, and the LOTR series a lot more..

Looked up a summary of Atomic Habits online because I wondered how it would compare to a little book by Charles Fillmore, The Atom-Smashing Power of Mind.

I also have "Never Split the Difference" by Christopher Voss with Tahl Raz on my list. Interested in reading about negotiation.

@Morledzep - there is a lot to enjoy in Moby Dick. And also, just a lot! It's not a book that I just lose myself in and find an hour has passed. I tire of it and read other things. So, it's taking me forever to get it read.

Do my pets need grain free diets? Does my shampoo need to be paraben free? What have they replaced the parabens with? Is it better? Interesting.

Have been reading a bit of news. Goofiest news? Cracker Barrel ditched the mac 'n' cheese colored figure and barrel. Apparently, "old-timey" is bad and modern looking is good. I do not prefer the ever more modern aesthtic that is on the verge of overtaking our world. It just seems soulless, and it repels me. There should be as much as possible for us to behold that ranges from oldest surviving to necessary new. Hmmph. (See what I did there? I incorporated the annoying news style of editorialism posing as news.)

On a somewhat similar note, when I see "retro" or "throwback" jerseys and "kicks" with mascots and logos, I get a kick out of that.

When I see the Wendy's logo/mascot, my heart warms, learning about the origin and story.

Also, I hope Colonel Sanders never goes away. For some reason, when I see him, I think of shopperbob. Too weird?

Had a coworker who looked exactly like Colonel Sanders. Couldn't have been shopperbob, though. Ooky, if there at least two of them out there...

One of my fave towns has original old lights at a few businesses. Charming!

History, language, reasons to fight traditionally and irregularly, and whatever each reader will find... all present and accounted for...
