Burning Man

So, have you ever been? Tell us the details, if you will. I never have and can't see myself ever going, for several reasons.
Of course, all the news stories this week have been flooding my feeds.
I much appreciate the art, but am more of a music fest person.
I love the west coast of the US and from a life long east coast dweller, it screams so western culture to me....in a wildly so American way.

Turn it up.

Never been, likely for the same reasons you haven't mentioned. I did used to know the Mayor of one of the communities: an old bougie Bay Area hippie chick with a Harvard PhD in business who spent gobs of $$ on the event.

Cool art but too long and intense and the desert heat doesn't work for me anymore.

We'd probably have a lot of fun at a music festival though"¦
and of course this year, there was a murder to add to the mix.
I thought it sounded interesting once upon a time. But me and summer, heat, and sunlight aren't best buddies. So I thought it wasn't for me. And come to find out, from the news reports about it, I was right.
I'm with MLZ. Is sounds on par with the Fyre fest, minus access to the ocean to wash the mud off. Steve Miller has it right - cancel all shows that could result in mud creatures looking to hitch a ride home.
