@Minime There you go again. Very unlikely that the “3.5 % rule” directly applies to the No Kings protests in the U.S., because the context is different. Context matters. The goal of the protests is not overthrow of the regime, but rather protesting a behavior. The structure of our government is stable.

The king doesn't need to fight the people. All he has to do is convince the pitchfork people that the torch people want to take away their pitchforks.

Again, a little communication would go a long way. Why not have the press office put out an explanation to the people about the people's house?

A simple google search brings plentiful of articles about Trump's offer to built the ballroom during the Obama administration. I guess he offered it since 2010. [abcnews.go.com].

Both CNN and NBC commented when covering the No king protests that it was mostly middle age white women and no minorities or young people. [www.yahoo.com]

So I went to check the media reports - which in spite of what many others saw, they are reporting similar to Marta who apparently has a very skewed vision of age demographics in the US.
The mix of people was also likely dependent on location - so it depends on where they were reporting from. I am sure Marta didn't consider that with his/her broadcasted opinion.
As well, it's not a particularly safe time now for brown skinned people to be out and about, particularly at a political rally. So that would skew demographics as well...I mean, you'd have to be able to understand why young brown skinned people have a lot to lose.
I mean, you'd have to be the kind of person who is even capable of understanding.

It can also be said that many of her ilk carry guns to their protests. If we’re talking ‘revolutionary’ traits, traditionally most of them carry weapons, ready to overthrow the establishment. The P Boys didn’t turn out b/c they knew they were outnumbered and that they couldn’t brandish their safety blankets. That’s no fun. Also the reality of them being replaced by ICE is setting in. ICE is legally armed and can ‘profile’ and take down people they think don’t belong. (A P Boy’s wet dream) Yes, many P Boys are being recruited, but it can be said that many of them are ‘too old’ and ‘physically weak’ to take on that task. So far it has resulted in very few legit arrests. They go after women, children, and foreigners on visas that they can physically take down, not the criminal element (who are also packing.) This endeavor has been an astronomical waste of taxpayer dollars.

Most of the voting population is elderly. Many young people work on the weekends. The crowds were so big that it was impossible to measure the demographics. There were tons of young people in attendance. Her conjecture was a self-soothing exercise. I’m just helping her to realize that.

Their arrests have removed a despicable element from the streets. They do arrest women, some of which were drug traffickers and burglars. Their crimes certainly meet the level of what rational people consider the criminal element. The illegal entrants have also committed a crime, that is not in dispute.
